Cloud 9 is world-famous for its thick, hollow tubes and fast-barreling right-hand waves that break over a reef. Most suitable for advanced nimble surfers, the Cloud 9 wave has been described as a death ride, crashing onto shallow razor-sharp coral. The force of the wave underwater is said to feel like you're being vacuumed into a cocoon. With waves at 5 to 6 ft high, the ride is short and smooth when conditions align. The wave was brought to the world's attention by a feature story in 1993 on 'Surfer' magazine, but traveling surfers were already visiting in the 1980s. Urban legend says Cloud 9 was named after a popular local chocolate bar, said to be the only snack available in Siargao at the time. When you feel like slipping the quick snack or run out of restaurant options to go to or simply if you’re bored leaving the house. So some of these space have been replaced for the better. As the island is growing and developing fast . There will be some light construction during the day just like the rest of the neighborhood of General Luna and Catangnan areas. Although this space is 100% functional , it is working progress. And I greatly appreciate and most grateful of your patience and support. As my family rebuilding again this new home after destruction of typhoon 2 years ago that our hardwork and dreams are taken away in few hours and our newly opened seven native villas which is located in Catangnan are totally destroyed and no longer exist. And please be mindful : We are on the island and brown out/ blackouts are very common. We don’t have generator as this moment but we have emergency lights and solar lights installed in the premises. And when the water down no worries and a fun and local way our staff can fetch water from the deepwell next door or we can provide water in the gallon that you can used. Our staff they are a working student who pursuing and dreaming to finish their school and we are supporting them . They are a local from the North of the Island.
