Unplug, slow down, and breathe. This is a place to let the noise drop away—where you fall asleep under canvas to the sound of crickets and wake to birdsong and big skies. Our canvas tents sit on a remote hilltop with no buildings in sight—just forest, sky, and golden sunsets. You can spend your days hiking, napping in the hammock, or taking a dip in the little pool hidden in the trees. And when the sun sets, the sky fills with stars. The space We’ve created a secluded retreat on our land near Lajatico, where you can reconnect with nature without giving up comfort. Each of the four tents is set on its own wooden platform with a private terrace. They're furnished with beds, duvets, and wool blankets. Your own private bathroom with hot shower is just 30 meters away. You’ll also find a large shared outdoor kitchen with everything you need to cook, grill, and eat under a roofed terrace. There’s a shady hammock area to unwind—and a refreshing swimming pool nestled in the woods for a refreshing dip on hot days. The campsite is surrounded by wild forest and quiet trails to explore. You can hike directly to the Rocca di Pietracassia or just swing in the hammocks relaxing. What’s included: * Safari canvas tent with a double bed and sofa (or single beds) 30m², with private terrace and Tuscan views * Private bathroom with hot shower * Fully equipped outdoor kitchen in a large roofed platform (60 m²), barbecue, and dining areas * Refreshing swimming pool, hammock and relaxation area under the trees * 12V solar-powered electricity in the tent and common areas * Bed linen and towels Every morning, you’ll find breakfast ingredients in the kitchen: coffee, tea, homemade jams, bread, and cookies—all included for you to prepare breakfast whenever you prefer. There’s also a small selection of local products and groceries available on-site to prepare delicious italian meals. By car, you can easily reach Lajatico, the Teatro del Silenzio, Volterra, San Gimignano, or the wine hills of Terricciola. We’ll be happy to share tips and ideas based on what you’re looking for—from slow walks to local food and ancient towns. Distances by car: Lajatico town center – 15 min Teatro del Silenzio – 10 min Volterra – 30 min San Gimignano – 40 min Terricciola wine area – 30 min Pisa and the coast – 50 min Florence – 1.5 hr Siena and Val d’Orcia – 2 hr Guest access The road to the campsite is a dirt road with a few steep and rocky slopes, a good car or 4x4 is preferable. If needed we can provide free pickup at check-in and check-out for you and your luggage from the closest parking spot. Other things to note The site is 400 meters above sea level with a fresh breeze year-round. Spring and autumn nights can be cool—we provide duvets and extra blankets. There’s also a dedicated outdoor fire pit area. In summer, the forest provides natural shade for hammocks and rest areas. At night, our tents stay breezy thanks to the 360° mosquito net walls—and you might still enjoy a light blanket, even in August.
