Bee Cottage-dog friendly, countryside retreat

Dog friendly cottage, surrounded by fields in the village of West Camel, just off the A303 and 7 miles to Sherborne, with local pub and church. The cottage opened in May 2024 and is in the grounds of our family home positioned along the River Cam. It is one of two identical cottages that have been purpose built, both can be rented together. We are very dog friendly and you will no doubt meet our friendly giant Rocky. Footpath directly from the property across the fields. The space The accommodation is a self-contained cottage within a new extension consisting of two identical units. The cottage is one bedroom (kingsize) with a mezzanine floor and a double sofa bed in the lounge below. There is a adjoining door to the next door identical cottage if anyone wished to rent the two together. Otherwise this is locked from both sides. It is open plan with a kitchen, living room, and dining table and chairs/bench. The bathroom with a shower is just off the kitchen downstairs. Outside there is a patio, BBQ and dining bench. There is parking for one car, if you'd like to bring a second car, please contact us. The bedroom is upstairs and there are steps into the cottage from the patio so it is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. We are very dog friendly and you will no doubt meet our very friendly giant Rocky. We are walking distance to the famous A303 bakery and there is a local village shop in Queen Camel (1.5 miles away) open from 7am-11pm. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole cottage and their own private enclosed garden. Access is with a key box. Other things to note We have free range chickens and our own dog Rocky, so we ask that your dog(s) is/are kept on a lead when you get out of the car, until you get inside your private garden. There is parking for one car, but please let us know if you need another space and we might be able to accommodate. We can provide a high chair and travel cot on request. All towels and linen are provided. Pets are not allowed upstairs and on the beds.
