A result of passion , creativity and a reverence for nature The Feathered Nest was built. Guests can come to completely unplug from the stress of day to day , and sink into the tranquility of the artsy tiny home, the beautiful gardens and the surrounding forest. Although 100ft from the main house there is a courtyard that is all yours to relax and watch the woodland birds I am happy to show you around or give you your privacy.. The space In the Summer there is an outdoor shower for your use with hot and cold water . There is cold running water in the Tiny Home. .We convert the running water in the tiny home to a water tank with a foot pump for the colder months.There is no shower available in the Winter unless you make plans ahead of time to use the shower in the main house before 5 pm. There is a large cooler for refrigeration and I will provide blocks of ice. There is a hot plate inside with cooking pots. There is a french press, tea kettle, and a pour over filter for your coffee and tea. I provide organic choices. The couch can be used as a sleeping spot and there are 2 twin beds upstairs that can be put together for couples or separate for singles. It is up to the guests to move them around. All bedding is provided. The only access to the loft is a ladder. Downstairs has a full sized bed and a separate new bedroom that has been added for those who don't want to climb the ladder. There is a composting toilet that has a urine separator. All instructions will be inside. There is a vented propane wood stove for the Winter. It will be nice and toasty for your arrival. There are 2 cats and a dog that live here and they have free range on the property although not in the Tiny home. This space was created to get back to nature and nurture inner tranquility. There are also 10 acres to explore. Guest access There is a private courtyard with a hammock , table and chairs and a couple of folding camp chairs for your use.All surrounded by gardens and the forest. You are welcome to tour the property, walk through the gardens, grab veggies from the veggie garden . The trails will be mowed to walk through the 10 acres of woods. In the Winter beautiful snowshoe trails are available. The only place outside off limits is near the fire pond for insurance reasons.
