Hürbel Castle is 500 years old and authentic today, featuring unique paper wallpapers dating back to 1785. 3 suites (Napoleon Suite, Stork's Nest Apartment, Rose Garden Suite), can be booked individually or in combination. The historic building offer modern, high-quality interiors. The large monastery table in the Rose Garden Suite can serve as a gathering place for all guests. For events (many functions, celebrations) of up to 45 people, a hall and individual rooms can be booked upon request. The space The charming Hürbel Castle is located in the small village of Gutenzell-Hürbel, nestled between Munich, the Allgäu region, and Lake Constance. Dating back to the 16th century, the castle has been completely restored inside. It offers all the amenities you would expect from a modern building. From the linens to the cutlery and tableware, everything is of high quality and has been carefully selected. The castle is renowned beyond the borders of Baden-Württemberg for its unique French wallpaper from 1785. Our baroque gem, dating from 1521, opens its doors and warmly welcomes its guests. The Napoleon Suite greets you with cozy warmth in winter and a pleasant coolness in summer. To ensure a truly special castle experience, the suite has been furnished with select pieces (e.g., an Art Deco seating group, a burl maple dining table from 1820). Enjoy a regal stay in a queen-size bed (177 x 200 cm) in the bedroom and on a sofa bed (1.60 m) in the living room for 1-2 people. In the castle tower, with its old staircase dating back to 1521, there is a comfortable leather chaise longue (90x200 cm). The tower also serves as a connecting room to the bathroom and kitchen. The entire apartment boasts a high standard of furnishings. It includes a large bathroom with a shower, toilet, and bathtub. A generously equipped eat-in kitchen with high-quality china and cookware offers the possibility of self-catering. Everything in this apartment is historic, from the floor to the 16th-century staircase. Very large double windows provide ample light, soundproofing from the neighboring church and creating a bright atmosphere. From the kitchen, you can access the bathroom, living room, and bedroom on the first floor via the historic tower staircase. These rooms are also accessible via a second, very easy-to-use staircase from the main stairwell. A private garden with a seating area in front of the apartment is also available for use. The balcony on the second floor is shared with other guests. The second exceptional apartment in the castle is the Stork's Nest Apartment (for up to four people). The ceiling is adorned with delicate floral stucco, and the historic 1908 floor has been covered with pitch pine planks. This gives the apartment a particularly charming and romantic character. The apartment gets its name from the fact that a pair of storks has maintained a nest directly above it for over eight years, raising their young every year. The third extravagant apartment is the Rose Garden Suite. It is ideal for families and friends traveling together, featuring a bedroom for two people (double bed 180x200 cm) and a living room for four additional guests. The large sofa beds can also be used separately. The bathroom includes a classically elegant bathtub, a bidet, and a shower. The tower of this apartment houses a very well-equipped, modern kitchen. Adjacent to the bedroom is a walk-in closet. This suite is the perfect central meeting point for family or friends, as a large communal table can accommodate many (and even more) guests. Currently, only 15 beds are available in the house, but new ones are constantly being added. Please inquire with us.
