The space The York Huon Farmhouse is the property’s original homestead - built in 1964 and refurbished for a modern rustic feel. With original cypress flooring, spacious kitchen, dining and living areas, and vintage furnishings, you will fall in love with its understated country charm. The main house has ducted aircon throughout, and each bedroom has extra woollen blankets for your winter time comfort. Curl up in the hammock with a good book from the library, or stay toasty beside the wood fire in the back parlour. Relish in the tranquility - enjoy a cold beverage on the front porch with panoramic views. The farmhouse is self-catered, so the fully equipped kitchen ensures a complete cooking experience - with an electric cooktop, oven, microwave and utensils. The fridge and pantry are stocked with complimentary local and home-made products such as milk, OJ, York Huon butter, farm fresh eggs, oils and spices, cereals, locally baked bread, local honey and wine and some extras for those midnight snacks. We also encourage family time around the BBQ, with a teaser meat pack from our paddock-to-plate enterprise, York Huon Meats. All products are farm grown, with no added nasties to guarantee the best quality. Turn up the music and enjoy a game of pool, ping pong or darts in the games and bar room, decked out with old-fashioned memorabilia and pieces from York Huon. Guest access The 20 minute drive from Mudgee to York Huon is all bitumen and perfect for any vehicle. The tar driveway has plenty of parking and guests also have access to a 2 car garage. Guests are welcome to explore the spacious farmhouse grounds, pat the baby animals and chooks, collect eggs. We encourage paddock walks and picnics to make the most of the rolling hills and tranquility of Botobolar (mud maps available). However, we like to ensure your on-farm safety, so we do ask guests to shut gates behind them and not to enter the sign-posted restricted areas - machinery sheds and paddocks highlighted on the mud map. Other things to note LOCAL PRODUCE The farmhouse is self catered, however local and home-made produce platters and wine, York Huon Meat and breakfast packages are all available for pre-order.
