The space We stay and welcome our guests from all over the world in 6 individually designed suites and rooms, named for well-known and appreciated physicians, artists and scholars and carefully renovated in 2023/2024 after the original oriental architecture complemented by modern technology. On the green roof terrace, you can enjoy the Moroccan sun during the day and end the day comfortably in the evening. Junior suite on the ground floor: Elias Canetti (July 1905 - August 1994) He was a Bulgarian-British writer and aphorist of the German language and Nobel Prize in Literature in 1981. With his travel report "The Voices of Marrakesh" in the 1950s accompanied by a film team, he discovered this magical place literary. His work is more than a classic travel report, but a literary treasure chest of impressions and observations. La Maison d’Arts & Medicine (Boutique Hotel) was initiated and conceived by Jalid Sehouli and Adak Pirmorady-Sehouli, both co-founder:in the European Artists' Guild of Medicine and Culture. ▫️Jalid Sehouli: born in Berlin and child of Moroccan parents – doctor, scientist, writer and passionate chef. ▫️Adak Pirmorady-Sehouli: born in Berlin and child of Persian parents – doctor, psychoanaltyist, cultural scientist and painter. Guest access The booking is valid for the corresponding Junior Suite in the boutique hotel: ▫️Bedroom with double bed/2 single beds (can be separated) ▫️Bathroom open to the top with shower and toilet ▫️Essentials such as towels, linens, soap/shower gel and shampoo ▫️More seating in the room and storage of clothes ▫️Workspace with small desk and chair (possibility for HomeOffice/RemoteOffice with strong and stable internet connection) Shared with other guests: ▫️Accommodations in the courtyard/ground floor as well as on the gallery on the first floor ▫️Dining areas in the courtyard/ground floor and on the terrace ▫️Sunny, spacious roof terrace with various seating and lounging options to linger and enjoy on the second floor with a view of the medina, especially the Koutoubia Mosque Other things to note The mandatory guest tax of the city is €2.70 per person per night and is to be paid to us on site (then goes to the authorities). Recommendations on our part for as relaxing a time as possible in Morocco: Start your journey with a transfer organized by us at a fair price: Pick up directly at the airport/bus station/train station and with luggage carrier through the car-free medina to the Riad.
