Elk Creek Retreat is warm and welcoming 😌 🥾Hike to beautiful waterfalls, ride the Alpine coaster, sip wine at a lovely winery 🍷 and listen to live music 🎶 -Modern, quiet, spacious -Fully stocked kitchen with 6 burner gas stove -Cozy gas fireplace -Hot tub, fire pit, Weber gas grill and large deck -Close to ski resorts, hiking trails, wineries, breweries and great restaurants -Close to Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and Boone -Near App State and Lees- McRae -No need for 4-wheel drive The space -🛌 Our home has 3 bedrooms and one queen Murphy bed. -The primary bedroom is located on the main floor, making it easily accessible for guests with limited mobility. Its just 5 short stairs to the front door of our home. The room has a beautiful en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and large shower. 🛁 There is an ample closet and large dresser. - 🚽On the main level there is a half bath as well. -In the first guest bedroom there is a queen bed and twin over twin bunk beds. Kids love the bunk beds! 🛌 -In the second guest bedroom there is a king bed. There is also a dedicated work space with a desk, monitor and printer. There are cables provided for easy connection. 🖥️ - 😴All bedrooms have blackout shades for a restful night's sleep - 🔌 Every bedside has a multi-port charging station so you never have to plug your phone into a random outlet across the room. -All bedrooms have ceiling fans. 🪭 - ❄️🔥There is a thermostat located on both the main level and the upstairs for your comfort. - 🧂In the living area you will find our fully stocked gourmet kitchen. Whether you want to cook a gourmet meal on our 6 burner gas stove or have a quick snack, our kitchen is stocked with everything you will need. Oil, vinegar, spices and basic condiments are provided. You will also find a gourmet coffee station with both a Keurig and Nespresso machine for your morning caffeine fix ☕️☕️ -Relax in front of the fireplace with a good book (you can look upstairs on the shelf in our mini library for suggestions). Have a glass of wine or watch a movie on our Smart TV .📺 -Heading outside on our deck you will find a great hot tub. Relax in the morning with a cup of coffee, or with a glass of wine in the evening. Watch the big game or a fun flick on the giant outside Smart TV. Cook up some hot dogs on the Weber BBQ grill. Rock in the rocking chairs. Do a little putting with our mini putt-putt game. - Down the back stairs you will find the fire pit. Get some firewood going and sit around it in the comfy Adirondack chairs. Toast some marshmallows for s'mores. There is a hammock out back for that afternoon nap, too! -Furry friends are welcome! You may bring your furry best friends now- up to 2 dogs are permitted. Guest access 🏡The whole house is yours to enjoy! We offer easy access with a Schlage lock and an almost flat driveway that can accommodate 4 cars. Other things to note Welcome to your home away from home! -Nestled in a tranquil neighborhood, our charming mountain retreat is just 5 minutes fro the heart of the charming town of Banner Elk, where you can explore delightful shops, savor exquisite dining options and enjoy the local culture. 😀 LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS: -🎿Skiing and Snowboarding: Just a short 5 minute drive to Sugar Mountain, perfect for winter sports enthusiasts of all levels. - ⛳️Mountain Golf: Tee off at nearby mountain golf courses that offer stunning views and a challenging game. Experience the beauty of golf surrounded by nature, making every swing a memorable one. - 🧗Hiking Nearby: Explore an array of amazing hiking trails that cater to all skill levels. From scenic walks through lush forests to challenging mountain climbs, you will find breathtaking vistas and the opportunity to connect with nature just steps away from your doorstep. - 🍲Dining: Enjoy a lovely variety of restaurants nearby, offering everything from cozy cafes to fine dining, many sourced with local ingredients. I can definitely make recommendations for your group if you would like. - 🍷🍺Wineries and Breweries: Discover the regions rich flavors by visiting the local wineries and breweries, where you can indulge in tastings, and take home a bottle or two of your favorites. The two wineries that come to mind are Banner Elk Winery and Grandfather Winery- both are close by. You can relax outside and often there is live music to enjoy. Families and dogs are welcome! The Blind Elk is a local favorite for craft beer.
