Welcome to the historic Nyholm Guesthouse, this is the first house ever built in Edgewood by Peter Nyholm in the year 1900. We sit on a 3/4 acre gated property surrounded by maple, fir, and pine trees. When you enter the property you feel like you have entered a hidden paradise. There is a 4 tiered pond with a bench to sit and enjoy the sounds of the water and the birds. Location is ideal for our guests with easy access to all main highways, I-5 and 167. Giving our guest comfort and luxury is our top priority. The beds are pillow top , one is gel memory foam for extra comfort. I only use the best sheets and linens, I wash ALL the bedding every single stay, although I’m not the best at ironing, I do attempt to iron those sheets!! Bathroom towels are luxury Turkish cotton, I supply make up remover to you as well. Only the good Charmin TP at the Guesthouse, no sandpaper here :) I clean everything myself with all natural cleaners and essential oils. Toaster oven and toaster. Mini fridge , snacks, paper plates, paper cups , forks , knives and spoons. Filtered drinking water in the entry /mud room so you can fill up on your way to and from. Microwave oven , coffee maker with ALL the fixings! Because it is Seattle after all - and coffee matters Echo Dot, dimmable lighting throughout, plus radiant ceiling heat in the bathroom to keep you nice and cozy after a nice shower! We also have a sleep cot available that can easily sleep one extra person, so if you want to have a party of 5 be sure to book it for 5 and I will supply the cot. Baby pack and play available, let me know when booking if you would like to use it, very nice, clean and new. I follow all Airbnb Covid cleaning protocol and take your health and ours very seriously- Lysol, sanitizer, anti-bac and anti- viral cleaners used on all surfaces. I also have sanitizer at gate entrance and guesthouse entrance. I wear a mask and gloves while cleaning the space and run Doterra essential oils in a diffuser to ensure the air is being cleaned between stays. Any concerns or questions about this please don’t hesitate to ask. We offer use of our beautifully landscaped 3/4 acre yard, our lovely pond at the entrance (not for swimming) part of the landscaping. Fresh berries ( raspberries and blackberries) when in season. Or stop and toss a penny in the wishing well water feature before or after a long day of sightseeing. The hot tub is also available to our guests to rejuvenate and soothe your body and soul. It is shared with my other Airbnb so we take reservations to ensure all guests get equal private relaxation in the hot tub. We have a beautiful courtyard with outdoor fireplace for our guests to sit and relax after a day of adventures!!! (seasonal) Very important- we offer relaxation and a calm space- NO PARTIES allowed- if you book and have a party you will be removed from your stay. We have absolutely no problem with friends/ family coming to visit you during your stay- this does not mean you can have a party. Wedding stays are an exception to number of guests on the property - please communicate that at booking. We love meeting our guests, but also know some like to have their privacy. We can usually tell who wants to visit and who wants to relax without interaction. We welcome you in with keyless entry for that reason, come on in and enjoy this beautiful oasis! Whether you are coming for a family vacation, romantic getaway, girls night out, or even just a stay-cation you won’t want to leave!! We are easy going hosts that put a lot of love and personal touches into our place. Good vibes only xoxo We are within minutes from Safeway, Starbucks, Taco Time, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Pizza, Teriyaki, many restaurants, and Planet Fitness. Quite little cul-de-sac that has easy access to main roads and highways. Traveling the area is best by car, there are transit and local rail systems that will get you into downtown Seattle if you would rather sit back and enjoy the ride.
