Chillstone House is the ultimate Cotswolds escape to enjoy with family and friends. Set in extensive grounds with stunning countryside views it offers flexible sleeping arrangements over 8 bedrooms sleeping up to 19 people (+2 camp beds & cot available on request) With 4 reception rooms, the Chillzone where everyone can gather to watch TV or play games, outdoor seating, games room and private heated outdoor pool (May-Sept only) there’s plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy their break. The space Accessed via a private road through the extensive grounds Chillstone House has a sweeping driveway with plenty of free parking for all your guests. Enter through the impressive double doorway to our spacious tiled lobby area with our stately staircase to the first floor. First floor accommodation 4-Poster Suite (Bedroom 1) – sleeps 2. Stunning bedroom suite with garden views, an impressive kingsize 4-poster bed, fitted wardrobes and seating area with sofa and armchair. Separate dressing room with storage and dressing table. Luxurious ensuite complete with jacuzzi bath, large sink and a separate walk-in shower. Our 4-poster suite is a super decadent, extra large room perfect for the guest of honour or the room can be rearranged to accommodate a camp bed and/or cot to turn it into a family room Bedroom 2 Ensuite. Large family room suitable for 2 adults and up to 2 children. Double bed, fitted wardrobe, dressing table and armchair with a single day bed, an optional pull-out single bed or room for a cot and large private ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and "his and hers" double sink. Balcony Bedroom (Bedroom 3) – sleeps 2 Beautiful bedroom with double bed, fitted wardrobe, dressing table, armchair and room for a cot. With patio doors leading to a great balcony with countryside views perfect for morning coffees or evening night caps! Bunkbed Bedroom (Bedroom 4)- sleeps 2. Full size bunk beds, but more suited to children. With an open wardrobe and beanbag chairs. Bedroom 5 – sleeps 2 Double bed with open wardrobe and bedside drawers. Bedroom 6 – sleeps 2 Double bed with open wardrobe and bedside drawers. Bedrooms 3-6 share 2 bathrooms – 1 with a large bath and 1 with a walk-in shower. Annex Bedrooms - unique self contained space on the first floor, attached to the main house with its own entrance, staircase and bathroom. Bedroom 7 – sleeps 2 adults and 1 child. Double bed with chest of drawers, hanging space and seating area with an armchair and click clack sofa bed. Large room so a cot can also be added if required. Bedroom 8.- sleeps 2. Twin single beds with hangers and storage shelves. Room for additional camp bed or cot if required. There is a hallway connecting the two bedrooms with an open wardrobe and a private bathroom. Additional note - we have 2 camp beds available on request. There is a small one off fee of £25 per extra bed or £35 if you would also like to include bedding. We also have a travel cot (bedding not included) and 2 highchairs available on request. Take a canal cruise on the Kenavon Venture. 2.5 miles. - Wiltshire Museum in Devizes with dress up or arts and crafts for the kids. 9 mins drive - Rowdey Cow Farm cafe and ice cream parlour. Farm cafe serving breakfast, lunch, cakes and ice cream. 1.4 miles away - Beautiful walks on North Wessex Downs and Roundway Down Iron Age Hill Fort.  - Meet the animals at Hope Nature Centre -Visit animals and play area at Rowdey Cow Farm Guest access The extensive grounds are shared with the owner and accessed via a private road and security gates. Chillstone House has a private driveway off the shared road with large private gardens surrounding the whole house, driveway and large parking area. Guests have exclusive access to the entire property with all appliances, amenities and equipment. Access and exclusive use of garden areas, BBQ, outdoor furniture and all outside areas around Chillstone House. Access and exclusive use of heated outdoor pool from 1st May to end of September (subject to weather conditions), sun loungers and pool area including shower and changing rooms. Please note pool opening times are reliant on weather from 1st May to mid-May and from mid-September the pool may be cooler than normal and if the outside temperature is unseasonally low we may have to close the pool. Owners live on site and have dogs so please keep dogs on leads when outside the garden area at the back of the house or walking on the shared private road. Dogs are not allowed in the pool or the pool area. Please note guests have access to the private road as far as the driveway to Chillstone House beyond this is private property. Areas around the owner’s house Rowde Mill, its outbuildings and wood store are private property and guests should not access them at any time. Self-check in and check-out via lock box.. Other things to note Property is suitable for a maximum of 14-15 adults as some beds or bedroom layouts are more suited to children. Sleeps 19 over 8 bedrooms, but can add 2 additional beds if required. Additional charges apply - £25/bed per stay or £35/bed per stay with bedding, linen and towels. Up to 2 dogs welcome - additional charge of £50 per dog is applicable. Catering options are available at an additional cost please contact us for more details. Pool will be closed from the 1st October to 1st May each year. During this period the pool will be in winter mode so please do not attempt to use it as it will not be safe to use. We will aim to open the pool as early as possible each year, but if the weather is too cold we may not be able to open the pool on 1st May as the water will not be at a safe temperature for swimming. Please also note that from 1st May to mid-May and from mid-September the water may be cooler than normal.
