Relax at this quiet waterfront, casual, farm-style home. Private front entry and parking. Five bedrooms (3 queens, 1 cal-king & ensuite, & 1 with 2 twin beds & ensuite), four full bathrooms, a reading room, an entertainment room/library, great room with kitchen, washer/dryer, a deck with a barbecue, and full equipment and amenities. Rooms have water views. Bring (or rent in town) bikes, your boat, or kayaks to launch off our dock. Lots of local breweries, restaurants, and activities. The space Located on Barters Island in Boothbay, Maine, enjoy 8 acres of rolling lawns and woods with privacy down a long gravel driveway. The great room dining table has wonderful water views to see lobster boats, seals, and birds. The home is fully equipped for any stay duration, and our private dock and moorings allow for lots of fun on the water. Walk the property's trails for fabulous views of the sparkling Sheepscot River and wade in the water as the tide shifts. Nearby Boothbay Region Land Trust walking trails offer views of off-shore islands. Play badminton on the lawn and relax at the fire pit, or cozy up by the fireplace and watch the water. A 100-year-old cedar grove leads to the dock for launching kayaks or swimming. Go into town to rent paddle boards, take a whale watching tour, or take a schooner trip to one of the countless nearby islands. Visit our favorite nearby towns, Damariscotta and Wiscasset, or the Farnsworth museum in Rockland featuring the Wyeths' works. Guest access Outdoor lawns and wooded paths are available for all guests. Other things to note Close to Maine Coastal Botanical Gardens, Porter Point Open Space, many open space trails, breweries, and much more. Fall and Winter seasons have special events: Pumpkin Festival of Damaraiscotta, Winter lighted boat parade and lighted Botanical Gardens. There is something happening all the time in every season.
