BBC is a unique A-frame cottage just a short walk from the Bhimtal Lake. One can relax on the very large open terrace or verandah, listening to the early morning bird songs. The large estate grounds are good for small strolls with viewpoints. Both floors can also be accessed by ramps. Your host has an art studio within premises for art lovers IMP: Please go thru the House Rules (Property is a homestay and not a hotel, please do not expect f&b room services) The space This is the only A frame house in the region that can accommodate a big group of 15 people, unlike the smaller usual ones with 2 adults capacity. Two and a half storey A-frame construction with a very large terrace covering a similarly huge verandah. Aesthetically well appointed cosy 4(+1 loft room) rooms, 2 living areas, large open loft area, huge terrace and verandah are are available in the cottage. IMP: We only have inverter power back up which can take only light loads, unlike a generator. We do provide manual gas stove heating in case of power failure. A perfect getaway for leisure as well as for work with high speed internet available. The surrounding private land has bamboo groves and a large variety of hill trees. The flora attracts winged visitors like the whistling thrush commonly known as blackbirds, magpies, flycatchers, red head parrots and many more. The night vista from the wide open terrace is a beautiful sight. Some nocturnal visitors are a couple of wild hares, the rare yellow throated martens, owls and some secretive predators(!!). All within the estate grounds ! Guest access Entire estate premises are at your disposal, with hosts residing in another house within premises. Living spaces, dining area, kitchen, library, gardens, viewpoint sit outs are for common use to all guests. Chargeable home cooked meals are available made by in-house cook. Pantry facilities freely available for all guests' use are fridge, kettle, induction plate, microwave which are suitable for minor cooking and reheating. The kitchen is equipped for self use with a gas kitchen range and all necessary cooking utensils at a daily extra charge which is very nominal for longstays in excess of 7 days. All rooms are accessible by wheelchair except for the loft room. Other things to note Standard facilities, freely available: -Kitchenette with kettle, microwave, induction plate(+one utensil) suffices for reheating and basic maggi, tea etc. -RO and fridge. -Basic cutlery like plates, bowls, cups etc. -Washing machine for any personal laundry. Caretaker is available for any odd jobs and cleaning utensils. Any other extra service like full kitchen for meals is chargeable. Only basic spices will be provided, rest can be procured locally by caretaker for you. Firewood for bonfire : 500/- per charge Having pets during stay is chargeable. Veg only meals can be served from our kitchen also at 250/350. per meal. Our home is just 50 meters away, any small special requirements for kids/others is no issue at all, we are always here to help. Being a small town, sometimes power supply can be down from the grid and AC, geysers will not run. In such a case we do provide manual gas stove water heating which can be inconvenient to some.
