Guest access General Information CHECK IN on day of arrival FROM 3pm. CHECK OUT on departure day by 10.30am. If you intend to arrive later than 6pm, we would ask you to notify us in advance. Should you have any special request, please advise us of before your trip, either by telephone or by email. We look forward to welcoming you as guests of Belle Tout. PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to accommodate children under 16 years or dogs. We are an unlicensed establishment but you are welcome to bring your own alcohol for your personal consumption. How to Find Us Belle Tout - Access Road: BN20 0AE On the approach to Beachy Head, along Beachy Head Road, you will see Belle Tout on the cliffside and a road that gives access to our private car park. There is a black bar gate at the bottom of the road, which is clearly signed ‘ Private Road – access for guests of Belle Tout’. N.B. – IMPORTANT – Please read The black bar gate has a padlock on it, (we try and keep the padlock unlocked and just look like it is locked for easy access for all guests) as all roads on to the South Downs must be locked..,if you do find it locked a key is placed in a security box that is fixed to the wooden post. The code to release the key is 1834. Please replace the padlock unlocked and return the key to the security box after using. You can then drive through the double gates at the top of the drive. Please be careful in high winds as they can sometimes be deceptively strong and pull the car door out of your grasp, then gain access by entering the double blue doors at the top of a few steps from the car park. Please ring the front doorbell. During your stay Their will be a member of staff on site at all times. Other things to note The KEEPERS LOFT is our smallest room. Should a guest exceed 5 9'ft in height and/or be of a larger frame, they may have difficulty accessing the bed and the room is therefore not suitable. The bed is on a mezzanine level, accessed by a steep ladder. The bed is a SMALL double, foam mattress and about 3ft from the ceiling. It is also close to the guest lounge area, access to the lantern room and the kitchen/breakfast room, so any disturbances or noise can affect those in Keepers Loft. A quirky room; it is special and unusual but it is not for the CLAUSTROPHOBIC or for those of restricted mobility, so not suitable for everyone. We would ask that you have looked at the details on the website. It is a special experience sleeping in the original lighthouse keeper's room. We like to give an honest description so as to avoid any misunderstanding or disappointment. No Dogs or Children under 16.
