Just a 35-minute drive from Alexandra, this retreat is your gateway to Central Otago's stunning landscapes and vibrant culture, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts to explore. A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with a queen-sized bed, easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers) IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home, "Matakanui Retreat 2," available with 24 hours' notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy. Guest access Guests will have access to our cozy tiny home and its surroundings. - Complimentary fresh farm eggs are available for breakfast. - E-Bikes and bike racks are available for rent with prior arrangement with the host. Rental fees are $50 for a half day and $100 for a full day. Other things to note - Wifi is not available - Pets not allowed - Gas BBQ Grill is available - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - Smoking is allowed in certain areas of the property - Please do not enter the paddocks when animals are present - Mobile reception has good signals for Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, 2degrees and Spark - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge Important note: - Keep in mind that outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban (The fire ban period is from 20 December to 30 April) - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
