The main bedroom features a double bed and generous wardrobe space, while the twin room offers two comfortable single beds and ample storage. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for all guests, and we also offer a cot and high chair for families travelling with little ones. The large, fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, cooker, dishwasher, and a convenient washer-dryer; ideal for longer stays. The bathroom features a bath with an overhead shower, with towels provided for your comfort. Unwind in the cosy living room, the perfect space for relaxed evenings with friends and family. Each room enjoys views across open fields, and the arched windows of the living room overlook a mature, leafy courtyard. To the rear of the cottage is a patio area, a great spot to enjoy a quiet evening drink, savour your morning coffee, or lose yourself in a good book while swallows swoop gracefully overhead. Right next door to Witton View Cottage is our lovely sister cottage, Wear View Cottage. It’s the perfect setup for bringing everyone together: family, extended family, or close friends. We will provide the code to guests prior to arrival. The cottage is all on one level, with a four inch step from the lounge area into the kitchen/dining area. Other things to note Witton View Cottage is ideally situated for walking, watching the plethora of wildlife and sight seeing. The area around Edge Knoll Farm is loaded with sights to visit... Hamsterley Forest is a short drive away or you can walk there too if you're a keen walker! Check out the Kynren Spectacular held during the Summer months, Auckland Palace, Durham Cathedral, High Force Waterfall, Cauldron Snout Cascade, or Raby Castle to name just a few. Your stay with us can be as busy or as quiet and peaceful as you want. The access road to the cottage is via an unpaved farm track approximately 0.6 miles long. It’s regularly used by a range of vehicles, so as long as you take it slowly, you’ll be absolutely fine!
