The space Gilbertson Cottage is a dream retreat set in the peaceful countryside on the outskirts of historic York. This luxurious three-bedroom cottage welcomes up to eight guests, offering a serene escape with elegant interiors and stunning outdoor space. Perfect for family or friend getaways, the property is nestled in an acre of private paddock, featuring a cosy outdoor seating area, a hot tub, and breathtaking sunset views. Gilbertson Cottage is the ideal mix of restful indoor living and memorable outdoor experiences. Living Area: The living space, bathed in natural light, features calming hues and a wood-burning stove, with a large Neptune corner sofa perfect for unwinding. The kitchen offers underfloor heating, a Rayburn cooker, airfryer, and Nespresso machine. A spacious dining area and family-sized table create the perfect setting for shared meals, while SONOS speakers add ambiance throughout the ground floor. A separate cosy lounge with two sofas, a drinks cabinet, and a smart TV provides additional comfort. Sleeping & Bathing: The three bedrooms include a super king bed (convertible to singles) with garden views, a four-poster king bed with views over the paddock, and a luxurious master suite with a velvet double bed, built-in cupboards, and an ensuite with a rainfall shower. The house bathroom is beautifully tiled with a Villeroy & Boch bath and shower. All bathrooms feature Prija toiletries, Christy bathrobes, and slippers. Outdoor Space: Gilbertson Cottage offers a paradise for indoor-outdoor living. The patio with a bubbling hot tub and BBQ is perfect for al fresco dining and evening relaxation. There’s ample outdoor seating, including a dining table, corner sofa, sun loungers and more seating under trees for peaceful afternoons. Parking & Extras: The property provides parking for up to three cars and an EV charging point. Families can request a travel cot, highchair, and stair gate. For larger groups, Gilbertson House is available for booking alongside the cottage, accommodating up to an extra 7 guests. Alternatively we have extra loft space in a self contained area available for an extra 2 guests. Guest access We offer remote access with easy self check-in and 24/7 guest support should you require assistance during your stay. Other things to note The property provides parking for up to five cars and an EV charging point. Families can request a travel cot, highchair, and stair gate.
