Conveniently located just 20 minutes from State College, Beaver Stadium and all the fun at Penn State, the Ridge house is a pretty, peaceful, and private hideaway in the woods, with few neighbors, but maybe some deer. You'll have the entire lower level of this newly built home, with your own entrance. Four large, comfy & cheerful rooms will sleep 9. Large patio with 2 swings. Owners may sometimes be in residence upstairs, respecting your privacy, but happy to meet & talk with guests. The space After enjoying all that PSU has to offer, take in the beautiful scenery as you make your way back through the countryside to your happy hideaway in the woods. You'll enter from the basement patio, into a central gathering room featuring a seating area, kitchenette and coffee nook. There are two bedrooms with spacious closets, one with a queen size bed, the other with 2 bunk bed sets, one of which has a trundle, so 5 people can sleep in this room. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa in the seating area (Bedroom #3), if you need to squeeze in 2 more people. The TV is not connected to a network, but guests can broadcast from their phones. The full bath features a separate toilet room with its own door, a bathtub with shower, storage bench, sink and vanity, plenty of towels and a hair dryer. The kitchenette consists of a prep area with counter, sink, cabinets, shelves, mini fridge, microwave, and toaster, also an eating counter with 3 stools. Note there is no stove, oven or dishwasher. We provide paper plates, silverware and some dishes, wineglasses, and some cooking supplies. Coffee nook includes coffee maker, water kettle, and mugs. The attached patio features a table and chairs, extra seating and two swings. Guest access Guests can use the entire walkout basement (except for the mechanical room, which is kept locked), and attached patio. There is free parking in the driveway for 2-3 cars. Please leave carport open for owners. The upstairs and the deck are the owners' private living area. The surrounding wooded area is all natural, and a bit steep, with rocks and tricky footing. We recommend guests stick to the driveway and patio when they're outdoors. Other things to note When owners are present, please keep noise down between 10pm and 7am. Thank you.
