Tranquilty in Northern Bavaria

Take it easy at this quirky, tranquil getaway. Set on the edge of the small village of Mehlmeisel in the Fichtelsee region of Northern Bavaria this older style house is perfect for families or a small group of friends. Perfect for hiking from Spring to Autumn, weekend skiing in the Winter or just relaxing in the clean crisp air. With a double bedroom downtairs, a large open airey room upstairs with double sofa bed, a small room with a single bed, and a kitchen equipped with the essentials. The space The house is on the edge of a small forest with farmland nearby (so don't expect it to be squeaky clean) in the heart of the Fichtlesee region and has it's own ski slope in the village and only 10 minutes from the Ochsenkopf. If you’re lucky and look out of the window in the early morning and late evening you might see our wild deer, and if you visit in Spring you might get to see our resident stork nested on the chimney on Liftstrasse (turn left at the junction on the way into Mehlmeisel. Set on two levels with a bedroom donwstairs and two upstairs, you'll have the whole place to yourself, apart from a small curtained off area where we store some off our things and the garage (but you're welcome to park on the driveway). Note: the stairs a quite steep and don't have a gate at the top so not suited to small children. Bedroom 1 Downstairs off the main living area and has a 140cm Double Bed Bedroom 2 Upstairs is a light and airey lounge room that has a Double Sofa Bed Bedroom 3 Upstairs with a single bed, and plenty of wardrobe hanging space. Lounge and Dining Area The two living areas connect with each other, the dining area has a small table that pulls out to make a larger one, with the lounge seating 5 people. Kitchen Is equipped with the essentials, with a stove top for cooking (the oven doesn't currently work) Bathroon The bathroom has a shower, with plenty of instant hot water There's a Coffee Machine that uses anything but Nespresso The water heater in the kitchen is small (but instant) but beware it has to constantly reheat
