Beautiful Farmhouse Stay

Escape to Vermont in this 1873 Farmhouse close to Burlington and Lake Champlain! This charming home offers spacious accommodations with a freshly renovated en suite bathroom. This gem of a home is decorated in an eclectic style with true to period design and a yard filled with beautiful gardens, free-range chickens, and fire-pit. The space Lovely old farmhouse on 1 acre with a barn. Close access to ski areas (Smuggs within 20-30 minutes; Stowe 45-60 minutes in winter), hiking trails, plus local state parks and natural areas. Burlington is 20-25 minutes from the property. There is a local winery within 10 minutes of the property that has scheduled weekly events during the Summer. Guest access NOTE: The bathroom is newly renovated with a soaking tub that includes a hand-held shower head. This is not a traditional stand up shower (see bathroom images for reference.) The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer and towels. You will receive check-in instructions 24 - 48 hours before you arrive. You’ll come in the door off of the parking area. The bedroom is through the parlor on the first floor. The host may or may not be home when you arrive. The room has a queen size bed with a bureau, a closet and an en suite bathroom. A mini fridge is available in the kitchen for guests to use. Guests have access to Bedroom, en suite Bathroom, Kitchen, Laundry, Parlor and Yard. During your stay I will be in the home during your stay as I work from home. I am happy to chat, but it is your stay so I leave it up to you how much you want to interact. I will be available throughout your visit to answer questions and assist as needed. IMPORTANT: Please have the Airbnb app on your phone. This is how I will communicate with you before and during your stay regarding check-in and check-out. This is how you can reach me at any time. Other things to note Host works from home and office is located on the second floor so there will be some cross over during the day in the common areas (kitchen, yard). Private areas of the house include the entire second floor and the living room at the front of the house which is separated by a closed door. We are a shoe-free household, so bring your slippers or any other clean indoor footwear as desired. Some of the flooring is wood and even though the home is warm and toasty, slippers during the winter are always a great addition to your suitcase. If you find yourself wanting to check in before 3pm the day of your arrival, please do check with me to see if I can get you in sooner! Happy to work around your travel needs! This home is designed to be enjoyed but prefer if you keep the "energy" to a controllable level. The home is shared therefore, I ask that if you are going to "entertain" yourself in the home, you do so with the respect of communal living in mind. Please understand that loud voices, music, and loud activity after 9pm will not bode well during the review process so please be kind to the home and host family.
