You will have an immersive experience in a traditional Loire Valley habitat, an 8-minute drive from downtown Tours. Sleeping in a troglodyte means sleeping in a natural environment and remembering that 90 million years ago, the sea was present here and formed a limestone bed that today constitutes the walls, floor and ceiling of your future home. This limestone called tuffeau has sublimated the surrounding architecture, castles, abbeys, churches... The space Your 28 m2 accommodation, completely independent, is composed of a bedroom with a queen size bed, a dining area, a sitting area, a bathroom and private toilet adjoining the bedroom. It overlooks a small paved inner courtyard that you will share with your host. You can safely leave your bikes there. Breakfast is included and served in the room. Air conditioning is natural in summer (characteristic of troglodyte accommodation) Your accommodation, located in the city, is in a quiet residential area close to the banks of the Loire and a huge public park (4-minute walk) – Sainte-Radegonde Park – where you can walk. Nearby you will find some shops (café, pharmacy, pizzeria, bike repair) and a small weekly market. Buses (12, 10, 53, 54) will take you to many areas of the city, if you like to walk you can reach the center on foot or by bike along a pleasant path along the Loire. The vineyards are just around the corner (7-minute drive). Guest access The small green courtyard is shared. You have independent access to your accommodation, which is located in this courtyard. Other things to note Several walking tours will allow you to discover the neighborhood that looks like a small village. I'll be happy to share my favorite spots with you if you'd like.
