Dear guests, we offer you the opportunity of the exclusive use of this cozy restored old house in the historic neighborhood of San Román. It is ideally located for tourists visiting the historic walled city of Campeche and wanting to experience the peaceful atmosphere of San Román, a 10-minute walk from the historic center and a 5-minute walk from the boardwalk. There are a variety of restaurants in the area. The house is equipped with a kitchen, hot water, optic fiber internet and fully A/C The space The house has been lovingly restored retaining its original mosaic floors and wood-beamed ceilings. In March 2023 the kitchen and dining room were upgraded, to include new fittings in the former and patio doors in the latter. Double glazed windows were also fitted in the bedrooms. In 2020 the bathrooms were upgraded to include modern plumbing facilities and amenities. The house has two bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms. (Reservations are for the entire house, whether or no you reserve one or both bedrooms - see Additional House Rules section). The principal bedroom has one queen size bed and sleeps a maximum of 2 people, the 2nd bedroom has 2 double beds and sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Both bedrooms have airconditioning and ceiling fans. The main bedroom has an ironing cupboard There is a dining area for 6, a lounge/television area and an equipped kitchenette, as well as a small patio with a table and chairs. Smoking is only permitted in outside areas. Guest access You will have exclusive access to the Lounge/diningroom, kitchenette, patio with garden table and chairs, as well as to 1 or 2 bedrooms, (depending on the # of persons stipulated in the reservation). . Internet is available in the entire house. The lounge has a television and Netflix. The windows have mosquito screens as well as the kitchen door that leads onto the patio. There is a new gas water heater in the patio providing hot water to both bathrooms and the kitchen. Other things to note The house is in a lovely old quarter of Campeche and also is in walking distance to sea front and the town center and 5 minutes from a main bus stop. The house was the office of my great grandfather, founder of the Socialist Agrarian Party and gobernor of Campeche 1921-23 during the Mexican Revolution period.
