Welcome to Green Acres Airbnb! Come stay and relax on our quiet little country oasis while doing some long term exploring, working out of town or going to VIU for an extended period. Our fully equipped Airbnb has everything you need to feel right at home!! The space We are located in the heart of Cedar, a beautiful peaceful rural farm community 12 minutes south of Nanaimo and 10 minute drive to Ladysmith so it’s recommended you have your own car to get around. This is a bright ‘new build’ that has a full size kitchen, separate living area with 65’ Smart TV with Wifi and 2 bedrooms, one with queen size bed and one twin bed and a full piece bathroom ready for your extended vacation or long term stay. This level entry, 832 sq ft open plan, fully self contained carriage house is set in a quaint country setting with the owners on the same property (New BC Laws compliant). There are cows grazing next door, various quiet walking parks nearby that take you through wooded trails and a quaint English pub ‘Crow and Gate’ or fine dining ‘Mahle House’ within a 3 minute drive. From May to October there is a farm market 2 minutes drive down the road to create your ‘farm to table’ dinner in our fully equipped kitchen. Come sit on our sunny front entry patio in our comfy Adirondack chairs in the morning with your cup of coffee or tea or enjoy our private back patio with your dinner in the evening and enjoy the sunset thru the trees and over the pasture with a fire in our fire pit built right into our table. Getting around, We are located 12 minutes from Nanaimo, 15 minutes from Ladysmith and 15 minutes from VIU. We have taxis and are on a bus route to Nanaimo that is a 5-10minute walk (depending on how fast you walk) from our Airbnb. It's a 10 minute walk (2 minute drive) to the quaint village of downtown Cedar and all its amenities… coffee shop, grocery store, bank, liquor store, pub, drug store and a family take-out restaurant. If your looking for a long term vacation rental, need a place to stay while working away from your home or studying at VIU this is the place to stay! Guest access The Airbnb is on a private acreage shared with the owners. Please respect the owners privacy by staying within the rentals vicinity and not wandering around the property unless invited to do so.. Thank you for your understanding.. Other things to note We have a full size guard dog on the property who is VERY friendly once you meet him but has a BIG bark upon entry to the property. If dogs are not your ‘thing’..this place might not be for you. Also, during long term stays we will ask you to take your garbage to the curb on garbage days. A schedule for garbage days will be left in the Airbnb. Thank you for your understanding and help with this.
