Paducah is in the upcoming eclipse’s path of totality. Come stay in a quiet neighborhood, only two miles from shopping and dining. There’s plenty of room to kick back and relax at home. Paducah also has several historic attractions and museums. You can shop in the Lower Town art district near the riverfront, visit The National Quilt Museum, or head out to the Land Between the Lakes recreational area for activities such as fishing, boating, hiking, and visiting the bison prairie or planetarium. The space The rented space is a master bedroom and bath, with a split king adjustable bed, tub/shower combo, seating area, large-screen TV, and small fridge. The rest of our home is available for your use. Our family room and living room, dining areas, game room, kitchen, and laundry are open to share with our family. Guest access This is not a picture-perfect, formal thing. My husband and I live here, as well as a couple of our adult sons. I work from home. This is more like visiting friends or family than booking a bed and breakfast (although food is available too). The common in the rest of our house are yours to share with us, as much or little as you would like. Access to your room is through the common area, from the front entry up the stairs to your room. You are welcome to do some laundry, use the kitchen, and enjoy the game room and deck. Anyone here would be happy to help with whatever you need. If I am cooking dinner (which I don’t always do) you are also welcome to share. During your stay There’s nearly always someone home. I work at home, but you will have my cell number too. As far as interactions…you may keep to yourselves or join us, whatever makes you comfortable. You do have to come through the common area to get to the room. Other things to note Pets: You are likely to encounter an energetic young dog, two cats, and a parrot.
