A quaint cottage nestled on the bank of the pristine Skeerpoort River. Piece of EDEN is a beautiful 2 bedroom self catering rondawel with an open plan lounge and equipped kitchen. Situated on the western side of Hartbeespoort dam, +-25km from Hartbeespoort town. Be mesmerized by the gurgling waters of the slow flowing river. This is a birdwatchers paradise, peaceful and tranquil. A perfect escape from the hustle of the city. Enjoy off-road cycle trails or nature walks with your favorite people. The space Your little home away from home where we try to cater for all that you would need for a quick break away into the quiet of nature. The rondawel boasts an open plan lounge/kitchen. It has 2 bedrooms and a separate bathroom. A lovely family unit where you can enjoy nature and have relaxed family time. The kitchen is equipped with a gas-electric stove and oven. It also has a full standing fridge and freezer with ample storage space for your perishables. The cupboards are filled with all the basic kitchen utensils for cooking, baking and braaing. There is enough glassware, crockery and cutlery to accommodate 4-6 people. Additionally, we can supply you with child friendly crockery and cutlery on request. The 2 bedrooms are each furnished with a queen size bed. Snuggle in with plump pillows and a down duvet covered in crisp cotton. Additional blankets for extra warmth is supplied. A baby camping cot or co-sleeper cot can be requested to ease your stay with infants. The lounge has 2 single sleeper couches and a reading corner. For entertainment there are books for young and old, and a few board games for you to enjoy playing with your family or friends. The bathroom has an open shower, basin and toilet. For families who have little babies we have a baby bath stored in the bathroom. Soft bath towels are supplied. We also supply swimming towels. We are situated off the beaten track along the R560, therefore, we meet at a local meeting point in the town so that I can guide you along the road to Piece of EDEN. Please phone for route instructions and meeting point. Contact details will be shared once the booking has been confirmed. No cleaning fee is charged for short term stays. A once a week cleaning fee is charged for stays longer than 7 days, which happens midweek during your stay. For those who choose an extended stay, longer than 28 days, a weekly cleaning session is charged. The guest can choose which day of the week they wish this session to happen. The cleaning fee is R250 per session. It includes a full top to bottom cleaning of the rondawel and the grounds around the rondawel, as well as a turnover of bed linen and towels. This service is charged in addition to the booking via a special AirB&B link requesting the payment after the initial booking has been made. Guest access The rondawel is fully fenced for privacy. Access to the river is provided. If you would like to lazily tube down the river, we will be happy to provide tubes for you. Other things to note Fun things to do in the area would be to visit The Upside Down House (12km), or hop into a hot air balloon ride at Bill Harrops (4.5km). Enjoy eating out at Die Ou Pastorie (2.3km) or have a picnic and enjoy strawberry picking during picking season at Tangaroa Strawberry Farm (3.4km). You can also indulge in their spa facilities. Go for a cheese tour and enjoy lunch or dinner at Van Gaalen's Cheese Farm (4.6km). Enjoy the Van Gaalen's cycle and hiking trails, or refresh with a dip in the pristine Skeerpoort River on your doorstep. Golf can be played at Magaliespark Country Club (9.4km). Enjoy locally brewed beer at Aviators Brewing Company (6.3km). You can access a few key stores and purchase any needed groceries at the Islands Shopping Centre (13km). Firewood is supplied should you wish to have a typical South African braai.
