Our insulated, Weatherport yurt has views of Smith Peak and room to stretch out. Three windows and a glass dome offer views of the mountains and the stars. Enjoy a sunset cocktail or a morning coffee on the deck. There are miles of nearby hiking, mountain biking, & gravel routes to explore. The space For sleeping, the main floor has a queen bed and a chair that converts into a twin bed. In the loft, there are two full-sized beds. Fast Wifi available through Starlink. The yurt is equited with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and hot-water kettle. A gas BBQ available by request. Bedding, towels, and potable water are included. For your convenience, a shared modern bath house with hot showers is just a short walk away, ensuring you can freshen up after a day of outdoor adventures. Additionally, guests can enjoy a communal fire pit and a large shade deck with picnic tables, perfect for gathering with friends and family under the stars. Guest access Feel free to explore our 60-acre property by foot or bike and the surrounding Plumas National Forest. The Beckwourth Peak trail runs next to our property, which takes you up and around the moutain for great views. Other things to note High Camp is completely offgrid and we rely on solar power. IMPORTANT: - Cconserve your battery bank by turning off the A/C, heat, and lights when you are not using the yurt. - Do not run the A/C over night. At sundown, the temperature will quickly drop and opening windows will keep the yurt cool. - During the day, keep the dome at the top open to allow hot air to vent out. - Close the shade umbrella when not in use. We can get 25mph gusts in the afternoon, so securing the shade is important. High Camp is located inside the Plumas National Forest at the end of a one-mile, dirt road.
