Glamping at R&W Homestead-Site 1

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Nestled in the trees on Lookout Mountain in Alabama lies an unforgettable glamping experience at R&W Homestead. Centrally located between DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon. This glampsite retreat was created to be a truly restful and unplugged getaway. It can accommodate up to 2 people. It is a lovely romantic space for couples, fun for a girls trip, or a wonderful place to unplug with a friend. The space We take many steps to ensure comfort during your stay at R&W Homestead. Please note that the glamping site sits on our 14 mostly wooded acre homestead. You may see some wildlife during your stay, such as deer and turkey. This is a park & walk-in site (about 110 steps from parking to your glampsite). A cart is provided at parking to pull belongings to the site. The glamping site is private. This includes tent, bathroom, outdoor shower stall, picnic table, hammock, & fire pit area. Off grid glamping site - solar or rechargeable lights, campfire cooking/coffee making, propane indoor heater for chilly fall & winter nights (will be turned off late spring & summer). 2 containers of potable water (14 gallons total) will be at the site for use. Alkaline filtered water will be provided for drinking as well. Containers can be refilled as needed. No wifi, enjoy being unplugged! 1 queen bed with luxury linens. Private bathroom structure with mirror for freshening up, hand washing station, toilet and essential toiletries. Outdoor stall with a shower bag. We recommend you bring 3 bundles for your campfire. Fire starters & matches are included for you convenience. 2 chairs to sit and relax on the deck. 2 chairs at the fire pit. Small propane stove (please bring your own 16 oz propane cylinder for use). Enjoy nature and nighttime stargazing! Coffee, hot chocolate, & percolator are available at the site for your enjoyment! **We do allow furry friends but please note, there is no fence at the site and we don't allow pets to be left unattended. For the safety of your pets and our animals, pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Other things to note - 10 minute drive to Little River Canyon Falls (6.5 miles) - 7 minute drive to DeSoto State Park (3.5 miles) - 20 minute drive to DeSoto Falls (12 miles) - 5 minute drive to Citadel Boulders Preserve (3 miles), drive just a half mile further past the Preserve on Citadel Rock Road for an amazing sunset view! - 20 minute drive to Mentone - 7 minute drive to downtown Fort Payne
