You can also spend a pleasant day in the cities of Troyes, Auxerre and Sens (less than 45 min). These cities have a nice downtown, many restaurants and shops. Auxerre, with its boulevards and medieval ramparts, is a center of tourist interest. Troyes was one of the cities where the annual Champagne markets were held during the early Middle Ages. The old and remarkable colorful half-timbered houses give the city a special and authentic atmosphere. Sens with its Gothic cathedral, alleys and old houses. Paris is only 160 km away. Shops: Our favorite: The city of Aix-en-Othe, located 20 minutes away by car, offers a very nice market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings in its Baltard-style hall. Very good butcher shop and bakery next to the market. The town of Neuvy-Sautour, located 5 minutes away by car, will allow you to find a bakery, a pharmacy and a butcher shop. Others: In the immediate vicinity of the house, you can enjoy a football field and petanque (balls are available in the garage) It is possible to park 2 cars in the courtyard. The other cars can easily park in the parking lot of the Salle des Fêtes located right next door. No nuisance to be expected in this small village, apart from the evening of July 14.
