On the ground floor of our home is your apartment with its own entryway and accommodation sleeping up to (4) guests. The bedroom has a queen bed and a flat screen TV. The living area has an innerspring queen-sized sofa bed and a flat screen TV. This area is separated by solid barn doors to ensure private sleeping quarters. The living/dining offers informal seating and a small kitchen with appliances and a 2-burner induction cooking plate. The full laundry is discreetly located in the bathroom. The space We offer a “coachman’s apartment” on the ground floor with its own entryway and accommodation to sleep up to four (4) guests. It consists of one bedroom with queen sized mattress and a sofa bed in the living area also with a queen-sized innerspring mattress. Each area is separated by solid barn doors to ensure private sleeping quarters. The modern apartment offers informal living/dining areas with a wood burning stove and a small well-equipped modern kitchen completes the look with solid wood surface countertops, sleek modern appliances, and generous storage. The private outdoor entertaining area offers a wonderful place to relax for morning coffees or in the afternoon sun with the ocean breezes. Depending on the time of year, you will also be impressed with the glimpses of the sand dunes, ocean, the harbour, and the sound and sights of birdlife. As you step inside this lovingly cared for apartment, you enter a living room bathed in natural light. The focal point of this well-appointed room is the relaxed comfortable seating for you and your guests offering a swivel-mounted flat screen 50-inch TV. The full laundry is discreetly located in the bathroom. The bedroom which offers views of the west side of the harbour features ample storage, a queen-sized bed, 38-inch flat screen TV and a large closet for your home away from home experience. The bedroom window as well as 2 of the 4 living room windows can be opened for your convenience in the evening to capture the cooling harbour breezes. Guest access We offer safe off-street parking for one (1) car, and there is also ample additional parking on the private road. The allocated parking spot is located on the left side of the garage between the trees and the carriage house. You are only (2.4km), a short 2-minute drive or a 30-minute walk, to the historical village of Morell. Walking along the waterfront of our magnificent fishing harbour, you will pass the Mussel King, a landmark mussel factory, where you can buy fresh mussels directly from the facility. Continue your walk, passing farms, beautiful horses will greet you along the way until you come into the village of Morell. There are several businesses here, including a liquor outlet, restaurants, a grocery store, post office, credit union, petrol station, pharmacy, and dentist. We are two island-born Charlottetown professionals who made the transition from the city to the country, purchasing Dune Vista Cottage and residing in the cottage for 3 years. In the event of a power interruption, our Cummins generator ensures that you are never without power for the duration of your stay at Harbour Hideaway. We have a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout the apartment for the duration of your stay. Air Conditioning is in the living room and services the whole apartment including the bedroom. We provide a complimentary handpicked personal welcome pack for each of our guests. . Our amenity products include a lip balm made locally by Beekeeper Troy Fraser from PEI Bees and a honey-based soap made by Island artisan Dawn Pineau-Nowak from Soap and Candle from the Hive. We have also included all natural products including sunscreen, insect repellent, body cream, face oil cleanser, facial milk, body/hair gel, and conditioner made by Nor’East Apothecary, an exceptional natural product locally made in Fairfield, PEI. We provide a complimentary stackable washer/dryer, washing detergent and other supplies, conveniently located in the bathroom.
