Queen Cottage - Sedbergh (19 Miles to Windermere)

Queen Cottage is a recently renovated semi-detached barn conversion. The cottage is less than a 5 minute walk from the main street in Sedbergh village and the Yorkshire Dales Way is right outside the front door. It has been furnished to a high standard and is the ideal getaway. This chocolate box village has stunning hikes, bike rides, wild swimming, golf and fishing for the outdoor type. It also has award winning pubs, shops and art galleries on the doorstep. The property is situated in 5 acres of private fields with the fells beyond, it is right on a public footpath leading upto Winder in the Yorkshire Dales Fells. The open plan living / kitchen / dining has a beautiful log burner for those cold nights. Although with under floor heating on both levels the space is pretty cosy as it is. The space has lovely views to Winder and the Yorkshire Dales, you really do feel out in the sticks even though you are so close to the village. The kitchen, has quality appliances including a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven, microwave and washer/dryer. There are two bedrooms; one main double room and one twin room. All beds have quality mattresses (Emma or Simba) so a good nights sleep will be easily achieved! The new bathroom includes a luxurious roll top bath. There is also a powerful shower. Upstairs there is also an other toilet. Parking and Charging There is dedicated parking outside the cottage and an electric car charging point in the parking for those travelling by electric vehicle (charges apply). There is room for a second vehicle but let me know and I’ll send instructions of where to park but its still within a couple of meters of the property. Outside Area The outside area has a small seating area and swing. Guest access Access all areas except one locked cupboards for storage. Other Information There is internet in the building and all tvs are smart tvs and there is no issues with streaming however given the location it can run a little slow on your phones and computers but perfectly workable. Babies are welcome at no extra cost but no travel cot is provided. No pets allowed unfortunately, (I have severe allergies, there is a £100 penalty fee if you bring pets and you will be asked to leave) unless you have a horse and we can look at housing at the stables nearby for an extra cost. Lots of optional extras which will be emailed to you on booking and are available by QR code around the property, such as initial grocery drop off, wine selection, wood for the log burner (only a small amount is free of charge for the initial stay) among others. If you are looking for more people to stay the cottage next door is sometimes available and could sleep an extra 4 people so get in touch. Guest access The doors are key coded and will be emailed to you the day of checkin.
