Finished in '21 (published in architectural magazines) this house is unique. Spacious and bright. With large windows, it integrates with the outside and can be used at any time. The lovingly designed garden, pool and barbecue complete the experience. Ideal for families, to rest and enjoy. 15 minutes from the beach and charming villages with history. Being our second home, it is well equipped and lovingly cared for. The space This house where you can breathe harmony, consists of 2 full bathrooms (shower, wc) and 3 bedrooms with garden exit and lots of light. One has a double bed, one has a bunk bed and the last one has two single beds (one trundle bed). They all have generous space to store well organized clothes. The kitchen is integrated into the living room. It's pretty, spacious, bright, practical, comfortable, with appliances and special utensils like local ceramic dishes. The living room has a dining table, couch, 2 armchairs and TV There is 1 laundry room. The garden is a gem that awakens all kinds of reviews, in the Cabe 1 carparcado. This house is our second residence and we love to enjoy it. It is unique in its design, practical, spacious, bright, elegant and casual at the same time. A mixture of wood, chapa, cement and huge windows with views of the countryside and the mountains. The typical Mediterranean garden with islands of grasses and aromatic blends with the color of fruit trees and the perfume of flowers when it is the time. With rustic garden furniture and different corners for you to choose your favorite in the sun or shade. A house to be enjoyed in each season of the year and all its environments in harmony with the environment where the view is lost and relaxed. In summer you will enjoy the pool and be able to dine on the porch , enjoying the sunset. In winter thanks to the benevolent climate of the area, there are also sunny days to enjoy the outside and otherwise you will be warm and at ease inside the house with the wood burning stove, enjoying the landscape that, when the day is clear, you can appreciate the Pyrenees rise snowy and imposing, in the distance. Resting, being inspired by the magical environment, the sky, the light of the area, discovering nearby corners, “listening to the silence” and recovering energy are some of the benefits we enjoy. The house is located at one end of the village of Ultramort. A small inland village - with the nearest beach about 10km -, typical of the area, charming and quiet. The area - The Ampurdán province of Gerona- does not need presentation, but if it serves you I tell you that everything being very close, there is everything and for all tastes. Recognized by the beaches of Costa Brava. Very close to Ultramort you can enjoy wide beaches and family atmosphere such as Sant Martí d'Empuries-and by the way to visit the Greek and Roman Ruins- , beaches more "wild" to go with dogs such as "La Gola del Ter" where the Rio Ter joins with the sea. Beaches with “Chiringuitos” where you can eat delicious and enjoy the waves like Pals. Other very chic like Begur, Llafranc or Calella de Palafrugell, a few kilometers from home. There are many, many beaches and coves, I only mentioned a few. You can also visit beautiful villages with charm and Historia such as Peratallada, Monells, Sant Martí Vell, Sant Martí d'Empuries, Cadaqués with its Salvador Dalí museum or its private house close in Portlligat and of course the city of Girona with its unique and practically unknown Jewry. If you like beautiful and designer objects, you can venture into La Bisbal d'Empordá with its famous handicrafts in ceramics, its furniture and antiques. Shops with clothes in Palafrugell and various fresh and delicious food markets. The local gastronomy deserves a special comment. You'll find simple, homemade food restaurants, with fresh fish on the coast and also Michelin-starred restaurants. Some in magical corners surrounded by nature, tucked between sunflowers or various “Food truck” options in magical and surprising places. The roads around Ultramort are a beauty for cycling or walking, surrounded by cultivated fields and an authentic, rural and relaxed landscape. You can walk to the neighboring village of Rupià and reward yourself with a cold well beer in its beautiful plaza or taste an exquisite breakfast in Foixà. Both villages deserve a walk. If you visit us in summer, there are recognized cultural festivals such as Cap Roig, Porta Ferrada, Ítaca or Peralada, among others. I only mentioned a few things, this area is very rich and varied. You can also decide to stay home and enjoy it, nothing more. Ultramort is located in the Baix Empodrà, having exquisite beaches within a short 20min drive. It is also close to charming villages such as Rupià, Peratallada, Monells, Begur, Calella, Llafranc... It has all services it is few kilometers, being the most important villages La Bisbal d 'Empodrà and Torroella de Montgrí, both 15min by car. It is also close to the Flaçà train station that connects with Barcelona (in the "how to get" apart, I give you the details) The closest airport is Girona Airport, 30m by car.
