The Barn at Glanoer

A tastefully converted cow barn attached to the original farmhouse with private entrance and parking. Cathedral-like window at gable end allows light to flood the contemporary barn conversion with view of fields and stream outside the door. The space The Barn at Glanoer is a self-contained one bedroom property with its own entrance, deep in the beautiful Welsh countryside. The Barn was converted in 2012 and due to its popularity has been completely refurbished again in spring 2024. It's a cosy retreat that we have designed to be a home from home with open plan living space on the ground floor and sleeping space on the mezzanine. Access to the Barn is via the gated terrace which is six steps up from ground level. Ground Floor All open plan: Kitchen with stone worktop; induction hob, Bosch oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, under-counter fridge with icebox, toaster, kettle, dishwasher. Dining space; table and two chairs. Living space with sofa, armchair and large footstool and woodburner. Smart TV and selection of books and magazines. Smart speaker. Ground floor shower wetroom and W.C. Ideal for one or two guests. Mezzanine Stairs leading to mezzanine bedroom with superking bed (can be separated into twin beds with notice) and free-standing roll-top bath and complimentary toiletries. Armchair and chest of drawers with hairdryer. Bed linen, towels and bathrobes provided. Outside space The gated terrace is directly outside and overlooks the stream and the fields beyond. The stable door opens out onto half-covered terrace with table and four chairs, perfect for morning coffee watching the birds or dinner under the stars. Fairy lights adorning the roof make this a special space in the evening. Blankets are provided in the footstool in the living room in to take off the chill while you enjoy the stars above on a clear night. Small fire pit. Guest access Parking is directly alongside the Barn and has room for two cars. Key collection is by prior arrangement. We live in the adjoining farmhouse but always endeavour to give you privacy and space, however are on hand if you have any questions or need anything during your stay. The gardens at Glanoer are extensive and guests are welcome to explore. Don't forget your wellies! Other things to note The laundry facilities are in the utility room attached to the farmhouse next door. Here you will find your own washing machine with range of laundry products for you to use and shared use of a tumble dryer. You have a key to access this during the daylight hours but it is locked in the evenings and overnight. The terrace has a pull out washing line and peg basket. A laundry airer is stored under the staircase in the barn. Sadly The Barn at Glanoer is not suitable for infants and children under 12. This is due to the nature of the property, glass balustrades and proximity to the unfenced stream right outside. We welcome pets but due to the size and nature of The Barn and its surroundings, this is restricted to one house-trained animal only. We kindly ask that all pets (dogs/cats) are kept on a lead outside at all times. We have free-range chickens roaming the grounds, and keeping dogs on a lead helps protect them and avoids unnecessary stress for both animals and guests. Please be aware also that there may be livestock on the field directly outside the Barn. Pets should not be left unattended in the Barn. Thank you. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
