Welcome to River's End. Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis—697 ft of waterfront on a river leading to Little Lake of Gloucester Pool. Here, nature will envelop you on almost 3 acres of mixed landscape. Play soccer or volleyball on the upper level, and drink your coffee each morning from the deck or the riverside dock: canoe, kayak, standup paddle board to Little Lake for hours of exploring. River's End will heal what ails you. This gem of a family experience is just a click away. The space River's End is a 2300-square-foot, two-story home in Port Severn, ON. There is a walkout basement to the backyard. It has three bedrooms (one in the walkout basement) and three full bathrooms. There is a King-sized bed in the primary bedroom, one queen-sized bed in the 2nd bedroom, and one queen-sized bed in the basement bedroom. You will find storage drawers under each bed. New Amenity: In keeping with our goal to create an oasis that fosters health and wellness, a new 6 person sauna is available for guests. A single person cold plunge tub will also be available. View the river through the tinted dome. (Use of the sauna will be subject to some procedural and safety rules. If you plan to use the Sauna or visit the beach, please bring a towel/beach towel or bath robe. Guest towels are provided for showering.) Also added this year, Ring Door Camera and Ring backyard light (coming soon)! WIFI is available on 70 inch Smart TVs in the family room and basement; Android box or Apple available in the primary bedroom. Enjoy Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc., by logging on to your account. There is cable on the main floor television. We have a new UV water filtration system, including a reverse osmosis tap in the kitchen. The well water is safe for drinking and cooking. We supply towels for bathing/showering, linens, bedding, and a fully equipped kitchen. However, we do not supply bathroom toiletries, beach towels, or robes/sandals. Please do not use our towels outside. River's End backs directly onto an inlet river that leads to Little Lake. Access to the Trent Severn Waterway Lock 45 is minutes from our dock, directly to the right upon entering Little Lake. Motorized boats and jet skis will have to be launched and retrieved at the public launch. With a signed waiver, you will have access to a 3-person canoe, a single seat kayak and 2 SUPs. The backyard leading down to the River is just the beginning of this fantastic property. There's a barbeque, an outside dining table, wicker furniture and a fire table on the deck. The gazebo has mosquito netting, so you can enjoy the evening air in front the propane fire table, without the hassle of mosquitos. From the walkout, you can access another seating area, walk down the path to the fishing spot and try your luck with some fishing. The fire pit looks out onto the River. Enjoy smores for the kids while the adults enjoy a glass of wine or spirits. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house, except two areas marked private. An exterior shed will be locked. Other things to note Enjoying the beauty of River's End The Community: River's End has the best of both worlds as it is located directly on a river leading to Little Lake, and it is not far from Orillia, Midland, Bala and other Muskoka gems if you wish to enjoy restaurants and day trips. Looking for exercise and fresh air on a scenic trail: If you love the outdoors, visit the Wye Marsh (16160 Highway 12 East, Midland, 24.3km, 21-minute drive). You can visit Six Mile Lake Provincial Park. Access the Ontario Nature Trails . Walk or bike to the Port Severn General Store. Grab your necessities and go; ice cream is a necessity. For golf enthusiasts, there are several Golf Courses nearby. Oak Bay is 5 minutes from the house. Bonaire Golf Club is 15 minutes away, and Midland GCC and Brooklea GC are approximately 25 minutes. More to do: It is a short bike ride to Simcoe County Loop Trail, 30 minutes to Orillia (Costco), 23 minutes to Midland, and 32 Minutes to Bala, ON. Over 20 local craft breweries are within a 60-minute drive. Boating: Lock 45, Rogue Marine Rentals (Sea-doo, Boats, Pontoons). The Port Severn Park is a few kilometres away with a boat launch, and play area for kids. Boats and jet skis can launch at the public dock. Access to the main dock at the house is currently unavailable. After a day of shopping or exploring, return to River's End for a relaxing time with beautiful views of nature. The backyard oasis gently slopes down towards the River. There is direct access to the River from the dock, so safety is paramount. Please wear a lifejacket if you are planning to swim in the lake. You can locate life jackets inside the shed in the backyard. There are a variety of sizes available. If you have small children, you must bring their life jackets with you to ensure proper fit. For non-swimmers and children, supervision is of utmost importance. River's End is all about exploring nature. We have a 16-foot, 3 person fishing canoe, a single person kayak, and a pontoon standup paddle board and a second SUP that can also be used while sitting, are available for use (with signed waiver). Play soccer, football, or volleyball, badminton , or Spike Ball on the large grassy area adjacent to the street. Use the sideyard to have a challenging game of Bocce. If the weather is rainy and miserable, it usually does not stay that way for very long. Please enjoy some fun indoor activities on these rainy occasions. There are 70 inch Smart TVs on both levels to enjoy cable television and/or Netflix/Amazon Prime if you have your own account set up. Cards are always a fun activity, and board games can pass the time until you can get back outside to the fresh air. Even inside, you will have beautiful views from the home.
