A guest house in an old house built over 150 years ago, close to Olive Street, where merchants and warehouses from the early Meiji to the early Showa periods remain. Limited to one group per day, so you can relax and feel at home. The owner of the guest house, Mariko, lives in this house that has been passed down through the generations, cherishing the changing of the seasons and Japanese traditions. I would like to share the best of Japan with our guests. This area, called the Tono region (east of the Mino region), is one of Japan's leading pottery production areas for Shino-yaki and Oribe-yaki, boasting a tradition of over 600 years, with many kilns and many excellent potters based in this area. There are also many cultural facilities such as art museums related to ceramics nearby, making it an attractive stay for those who like ceramics. In addition, the Tokai region has abundant sightseeing resources, such as Magome, a post town on the Nakasendo Way, Tsumago (about 1 hour by car), which has the atmosphere of a post town from the Edo period, Gujo Hachiman (about 1 hour by car), and Shirakawa-go (about 2 hours by car), which has been certified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (cultural heritage), making it an ideal base for sightseeing trips to various places. The space The guest room is a 13.2 square meter Japanese-style room with a private bathroom (with shower and bathtub) and toilet (with bidet function). The space is bright and faces the courtyard, where you can enjoy the seasonal expressions. * Kitchen & Dining You can use the refrigerator, gas stove, toaster, microwave, cookware and dishes. The dining room (shared with the owner) is available for dining. * Laundry You can use the washing machine for 300 yen/use. We provide detergent. There is no dryer, but there is a drying room. Guest access Building 1F area, garden area. Please refrain from entering the 2nd floor space as it is a private area.
