Description
Looking out over fields and the Wensleydale steam railway is this cosy 19th century cottage that is an ideal stopover or base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales or the North Yorkshire Moors. The house is a charming 3-storey building with plenty of period features. There is also parking onsite for two vehicles. The space On the ground floor there is a living room with a wood burner, a dining room with a range and a quirky raised galley kitchen up two steps. Under the kitchen is a utility room with fridge and freezer and access to the back door. On the first floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom, both with double beds. The smaller bedroom has a traditional low curved ceiling. The bathroom has a bath with a shower attachment. Externally, there is an enclosed courtyard garden to the front with a small table and chairs, and a raised paved area at the back by the log store, next to the railway. The railway only sees steam trains and some old diesels passing a few times a year, marching on slowly past the house. It's a charming feature, but also why you should always look before crossing the railway because there are no signals! The house has wooden flooring and central heating throughout. Guest access You can use the entire house, except some locked storage cupboards.
