The space Named for the 200-year-old Banyan tree that stands sentinel at Shivom Organic Farms our farmhouse has a large living area and four large bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and a shaded patio. The grounds feature a pool, tennis and basketball courts, a river deck and a lush green lawn for picnics, parties and evening gatherings. On a typical day, you'll wake up to birdsong. You'll drink your morning chai on the patio as you watch the Surya go by. And after that, the options are endless - do you fancy a picnic on the lawn or a game of Monopoly? A game of tennis or basketball. Make memories with your kids at the play area. A guided tour of the farm. Me-time at the pool. A special sundowner on the river deck. Or you can get some work done in our quiet little haven away from the chaos. We've got great wifi and a dedicated workspace. Banyan Tree is perfect if you're looking for a quiet getaway to do some deep work. Guest access You have access to your room and ensuite bathroom. You will share the living and dining areas, garden and grounds with other guests. The kitchen is out of bounds - tea, coffee and drinking water are available in the common living area. This property is on a 5-acre organic mango orchard with coconut and chicoo trees and vegetable and fruit patches. It is a working farm. We’d be happy to give you a guided tour but you must book in advance. During your stay Our caretaker is available from 8 am to 10 pm to clean and address minor needs. In case of emergencies, the host is a phone call away. Other things to note This is our home. Please treat it with the same care you would take in your home. We do not allow outside food on the farm. Our chef is very talented and will dish up wonderful meals for you. We will send you our menu once your booking is confirmed. Shivom is a working farm. While we have all the amenities, you may have some farm flies at sundown in the summer. Like all rural areas in India, Gundale, where our farm is located, has occasional power outages. We have a generator that keeps the electricity running.
