The Moulin Rouge House

Welcome to the little house of the Moulin Rouge, in this old barn surrounded by L'Automne, a small river of the Oise, and rapeseed fields. Ideal place to work or rest in nature, alone, as a couple or with friends. The house is bathed in light and the waterfront terrace allows you to enjoy the sounds of nature. Le Moulin Rouge is a small hamlet with its inhabitants that you will probably meet on arrival. Once you've crossed the river, you've arrived :) The space The house consists of one large space, with the living room and kitchen downstairs, and the bedroom on the mezzanine upstairs. The bedroom opens onto the living room below, there are no doors or curtains. In the bedroom, there is a queen-size double bed and a piece of furniture to store your clothes, including a wardrobe. The bay windows to the north and south cannot be obscured. In the living room, you have a desk, a sofa, and some armchairs. The sofa is convertible and can accommodate 1 person comfortably (or 2 people a little less comfortably). You can use the fireplace, dry logs are available in the outdoor shed (do not take the wood behind the fireplace which is still green), you can use it to start a small fire for your cool spring evenings. The house has a stable fiber optic internet connection, and a desk facing the river, for those who wish to combine work and nature. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, fridge and freezer. The induction stove and oven/microwave will allow you to cook anything you want. Salt, pepper, oil, coffee and tea are available. Outside you have a terrace overlooking the river, with chairs and table, deckchairs and hammock. There is another terrace at the back where the Nordic bath is located, which is unfortunately not functional at the moment. 300 meters away is a railway track, so you will hear freight trains passing during the day once an hour on average. 2 km away you are in Verberie with its supermarket, bakeries, butcher, pharmacy and restaurants. At 3.5 km you are at the edge of the forest of Compiègne, with its bike paths, mountain bike trails and pedestrian trails. Guest access You have access to the whole house and garden. Across the river you are at the neighbors, but you can still park your car there. Other things to note The proximity to the river means this place is not recommended for children.
