Aunt Bessie's Cottage

Come and enjoy this spacious, serene space in the Northern Irish countryside surrounded by the sound of birdsong. Aunt Bessie's cottage is a recently refurbished 200 year old cottage with an American connection, modern amenities and historical features. It is located in the countryside outside the village of Kilrea, a short distance from the Giant's Causeway and other North Coast attractions. It is centrally located with the cities of Belfast and Londonderry an hour's drive from the property. The space The cottage which is approximately 200 years old has been recently refurbished to a high standard and includes modern facilities and comforts as well as maintaining some of the original features and characteristics of a Northern Irish cottage. It has four rooms which are in a row. There is a large, spacious bedroom containing a double bed and a sofa bed to the right of the main entrance. The adjoining living room has a log burner in the original fireplace and a vaulted ceiling with skylight. There is a TV and a comfortable sofa and chairs provided. The kitchen has been fitted with a modern kitchen and contains a fridge, dishwasher, cooker, hob, toaster, kettle and microwave as well as a table and chairs. The bathroom and utility room are on the left of the cottage and contain an electric shower, a slipper bath and a washing machine. The CH controls are also located here. The cottage faces south and in sunny weather is bathed in sunshine from morning to evening. It is enclosed by a wooden fence which creates a private space. Seating is provided as well as a barbecue. There are several trees nearby and birdsong fills the air. The cottage has Tourist Board approved status. Guest access Guests may use the entire cottage and the grounds which are enclosed and situated at the front of the building. This includes a small garden shed. Other things to note There is a double bed and a sofa bed suitable for 2 children in the bedroom.
