*own horse welcome * Our home is situated 2 miles from Canterbury and 1/2 hour from the tunnel . Many footpaths/bridleways 100 yds from our land which link to the South Downs . annex has its own rustic charms as it used to be our hay barn . * please note we live next door 5 metres away * It is a well equipped kitchen and bedrooms are spacious with 2 shower rooms. The lounge opens to a private courtyard with a gate to the stable yard and track to bridleways . Hot tub for use on request The space We have a beautiful home with 6 horses and 14 acres . We live in the cabin , 5 metres adjacent to the annex . Just 2 miles from Canterbury cathedral and 1 .5 mile from local shops . There are many lovely walks along the South Downs , the nearest bridleway being 500 yds away . The port of Dover is a 25 mins drive from us , with Dover castle for history enthusiasts . Nearby are many places of interest such as Leeds castle , the beaches of whitstable and ramsgate and for theatre lovers , we have the Marlowe in Canterbury . Guest access Guests can use the swim spa hot tub and bar b que area on request at time of booking . This space is used by our family also . Most times in summer the swim spa is warmed using our solar panels but obviously British weather is not always favourable and so there may be a charge to get it up to temperature. It is big and costs about £2 in electricity to raise it 1°C! It also takes about an hour for each 1° so we’d need warning if you wish to go in the same evening. We can send you a picture of the temperature and you can choose what temperature you want it heated to (maximum 40 which is horrible to swim in but ok to sit in if you don’t mind being slow cooked!) The EV car charger has a meter on it and cost per kWh is 30p. Other things to note The property does have a sofa bed but if you plan to bring an extra guest please request this prior to booking . Horses are welcome at a fee of £10 per night for a paddock, £15 with stable . Payable on arrival . The hot tub is also available by prior arrangement and the cost of heating it extra . Our home has sloping ceilings ( low in places ) in the kitchen and one bedroom . The floor arrangement is as follows : Enter via kitchen . Through to hall . To the right is a shower room , turn left to a bedroom with door to courtyard . From this bedroom , enter lounge . There is a door to courtyard here also . From lounge enter small kitchenette , with dishwasher , microwave , fridge freezer and through to second shower room . From kitchenette , through to the second bedroom with door to the path, to car park area . You can access this property via 4 doors and the one bedroom , kitchenette and shower room can be closed off if two couples sharing . Very secure parking
