Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. After long days out in the wilderness, come back to your space that's got everything you need for your stay. There's a full kitchen and spacious bathroom and luxurious shower. There is one queen size bed in the bedroom. The apartment has windows all around so you can feel the beauty surrounding you. Our place only accommodates 2 adults. We do not, under any circumstances, allow any pets or people under 21. This is a 21 and over listing. The space This apartment is on 309 acres in the Steens/Alvord wilderness. The apartment has views of the Alvord Desert, Alvord Peek, Red Mountain, and more. The land is surrounded by the Pueblo Mountain Range. You can hike into BLM land just a few yards from the apartment, as well as hike the hills across Catlow Valley Rd onto Red Mountain. Our land, depending on when you visit, has lots of wildflowers to check out and birds of many desert varieties. The apartment is not connected to the house. It's close, but you have your privacy. We are about 3.5 miles from the Fields Store. The kitchen in the apartment has every amenity you could need and a large refrigerator and freezer, so feel free to bring lots of cook. To the north, we are about 20 miles from the Alvord Hot Springs and about the same to Denio, NV, home of the Diamond Inn. You can make trips from here to hot springs in NV or across the way to the Trout Creek Mts for hot springs over there. The canyons all around are gorgeous! We have about 20 chickens and an asparagus garden as well as warm springs to hike through across our land. The sunrise and sunsets here are FULL ON!! So is the moon rise. You can sit outside the apartment at night on the Adirondack chairs to watch the stars from horizon to horizon with nothing in the way. This is the perfect place to set up a base camp. Come for a night or come for a week. We'd love to welcome you to this wildlife. If you're lucky, you'll see coyotes on our land, deer and more rarely, pronghorn. Our owls and owlets are always nearby in the grove. Hope to see you soon. Guest access Access is easy and simple. You can park your rig near the apartment. There are no steps. We have space for a truck and trailer as well as RVs with an RV hookup. Other things to note We do not allow children, smoking on the land at all or in the apartment, and we cannot allow pets, as we have our own. The toilet is on a septic system so nothing but toilet paper can go into the toilet. This is a quiet place. A place where we listen to the glorious sounds of nature all around. We do not want loud music here so if that's your thing, this place isn't for you. We have a wide variety of birds and bird watching is never boring here. Bring binoculars! We also have animal visitors and they're really wonderful to watch in the early mornings.
