Road Conditions Update With the seasons shifting, the farm has transformed into a bit of a winter wonderland—think golden dry grass, crisp air, and wide open skies. With that, our dirt road has become a little bumpy and dust is part of the charm. If you can, a bigger car will make the ride smoother, but smaller cars are totally fine too—just take it easy and soak up the scenery. It’s all part of the winter magic on the farm! Toll Gate Depending on which route your GPS takes you, you might encounter a toll gate with a small fee. Think of it as a tiny toll for a grand stay—totally worth it for the fabulous experience awaiting you at our Airbnb! Entertainment We have a smart TV with access to Netflix, Apple TV, Showmax, DStv Stream, Disney+, and Amazon Prime. Feel free to use our guest Netflix account or easily log in to your own accounts for a personalized viewing experience. Gas Geyser If you’re having trouble with the gas geyser and the water isn’t heating up, please give Reuben a call. He’ll assist in getting your water to the perfect temperature or change the gas canister if needed. We definitely don’t want you having a cold shower—it’s not part of the adventure! Heating Feeling the winter chill? Don’t worry! We have a braai outside, a fire pit, and an indoor fireplace to keep you toasty. We also have a heater for extra warmth. These fiery options should have you feeling cozy in no time. Linen We rotate our linen and towels, so rest assured there will always be a clean set ready for your arrival while the other set is being cleaned from a previous guest. Your comfort and cleanliness are our top priorities! Comfortably sleeps 2 but can sleep 3 (If a minor) We’re excited to share that the space now features a stylish and spacious king-size futon, replacing the blue sofa seen in the photos. This versatile addition not only serves as a cozy spot to relax during the day but also transforms effortlessly into a comfortable bed for two, making the space perfect for small families or groups. It’s simple to use and adds a welcoming touch to ensure everyone can enjoy their stay to the fullest. Exciting New Features for Your Stay! We’re thrilled to share some wonderful new additions to our space! We now have a wood-heated hot tub, perfect for cozying up on cooler evenings or during the winter. In the warmer months, it doubles as a refreshing dipping pool to keep you cool. Outside, we’ve added a charming fire pit that’s ideal for gatherings, storytelling, or simply relaxing under the stars. For even more options to connect and unwind, we’ve included extra seating on the balcony—a lovely spot to enjoy a get-together with family or friends. These upgrades are designed to make your stay even more memorable and enjoyable. Privacy Enjoy complete privacy during your stay with exclusive access to the entire property. While we do have a neighbor next door, rest assured they will not disturb you, ensuring a peaceful and relaxing experience. Just a Heads-Up (So Everyone Has a Great Stay): There’s a garage on the property that’s staff-only, so we ask that guests please don’t enter it. It’s home to some private motorbikes and gear, and as cool as they may look, they’re not up for grabs. We’ve had a few hiccups in the past, so just keeping it chill and clear! Exploring the Farm? Yes Please! Feel free to go for a walk, run, cycle, or even a horse ride on the game farm – it’s stunning out there. The only thing we ask is that you don’t drive on the farm, and please don’t take your dogs onto the farm where the wildlife roam. No Events or Parties To protect the peaceful environment of the farm and out of respect for our neighbors, events and parties are not allowed. This is due to noise pollution concerns and the limited capacity of our septic tank system, which cannot accommodate large gatherings. Please also ensure that music and noise are kept low after 9PM to maintain the tranquility of the area. Thank you for your consideration. Weddings and Events Our cozy retreat is ideally located for those attending events or weddings in the area. We are just 20 minutes away from Casablanca Manor, 6 minutes from Campagne Living, 20 minutes from Lace and Timber, 5 minutes from Rosemary Hill and Greenhouse Café, 18 minutes from the Lakeside wedding venue, and 14 minutes from Rhino Park Adventure Centre. Whether you're here for a special occasion or simply to unwind, our place offers the perfect base for your stay. Baby Friendly Our space is baby-friendly! We provide a feeding chair, camping cot, bathing support, and changing mat to ensure a comfortable stay for you and your little ones. Enjoy a relaxing and hassle-free family getaway with everything you need for your baby already here. If you request these items please just pop us a message when you book! Guest access If you would like Reuben to show you how everything works in the house and where everything is located, please ask him for a tour. Otherwise, everything is labeled with stickers for your convenience. Other things to note Location Please note that our farmstay is located approximately 10 km off Boschkop Road on a gravel road. Any car should be able to navigate the road at a reasonable pace. (We don’t own a 4x4 and visit the farmstay often). You will see a gatehouse with a green roof and a double gate(grey). This is where you enter the farm, and then you drive 10m to the gate directly in front of you to enter the property. Please note that while the road leading to the house is safe for all vehicles, it is a gravel road. Smaller or low-clearance cars may need to drive a bit slower and take extra care to avoid damage. We recommend driving a van or SUV for a smoother journey, but rest assured, the peaceful retreat at the end of the road is well worth the drive! Braai Time! Yes, we’ve got braai facilities at the farmstay—because what’s a getaway without a good ol’ sizzle under the stars? If you’re planning to fire things up, just remember to pack your charcoal and firelighters. We provide the vibes, you bring the flames! Soak & Sizzle Our fire-heated tub is a dreamy little spot to unwind under the stars—perfect for a starlit soak with a view of the wildlife. We provide some wood to get things going, but if you’re planning on turning into a happy prune from soaking all day, every day, we recommend bringing an extra pack or two to keep the magic bubbling. Running low? No worries—you can buy more wood on site. Electric Fence Additionally, our property is protected with an electric fence. Just a heads-up: our electric fence might give your pets a little shock if they get too curious. Don’t worry, it’s not strong enough to harm them—it’s just there for your protection and to keep the wildlife on the other side of the fence. Your safety is of utmost importance to us! Strict No Smoking Policy (Indoors) Please respect that this is a home — smoking is strictly not allowed inside. We want every guest to walk into a fresh, welcoming space, and smoke smells lingering in the furniture and curtains just aren’t the vibe. Burn marks also damage our furniture and rugs, and any damage will need to be replaced at your cost. Feel free to smoke outside, but please be mindful of where you dispose of cigarette butts. Our Commitment to Your Stay We do our absolute best to ensure every guest has a wonderful experience and enjoys the quality and care we’ve put into our farmstay. That said, from time to time, previous guests may not respect our house rules, which can temporarily impact the integrity of the space — especially when they check out on the same day as your check-in. While this is out of our control, please know we are always working hard behind the scenes to maintain, restore, and elevate the space so that every stay feels special. We ask for your understanding and above all, your respect for our home.
