My name is Augustin, I am from Normandy and I am a 31 years old local Parisian guide. I’ve lived in this arrondissement I fell in love with for 8 years now. The 9th Arrondissement was home to many painters (Caillebotte, Monet, Degas, Moreau…) and is now the place of unheard cultural locations (Musée Gustave Moreau, Musée de la Vie Romantique, Musée du Parfum…), also of the best concert halls in Pigalle (La Cigale, Le Trianon, L’Elysée Montmartre…) and the most famous « Grands Magasins » that inspired Emile Zola (Le Printemps, Les Galeries Lafayette) in the Opera House area. From the house you are 15min walk from the Gare Saint-Lazare if you want to go on a day-trip to Normandy and as well from the Gare du Nord if you need to take the Thalys (Lille-Bruxelles-Amsterdam) or the Eurostar to London. If metro is needed you are nearby line 2 / 7 / 8 / 9 and 12. Which means that in 20-25min you can be pretty much anywhere around Paris. The house is very cozy and fully equipped (laundry machine, coffee machine, microwave, oven, bathtub…) The house can fit 4 people as the convertible sofa is brand new, easy to use and very comfortable in addition to the main mezzanine bedroom. With this place you can be living in a small house on the Rue des Martyrs and enjoy having breakfast, lunch and dinner in your private outside courtyard that is full of light and fresh air. Even better during summer season. Perfectly located but without any inconvenience coming from the street (safe and calm environment), you will be enjoying the calm of the inside of a Parisian courtyard.
