A beautiful fully restored private in an 1892 farmhouse very close to downtown San Marcos in a quiet historic neighborhood. The apartment comes with attached bathroom and access to a full kitchen and laundry. This apartment has a separate entrance, gorgeous original floors, marble shower, luxurious queen Purple mattress, and tubes for the river. A short walk takes you into the downtown square. Enjoy all the charm of the historic, restored home along with all the modern amenities you’d expect. The space Our farmhouse was built in 1892 by the first Life Science Professor in San Marcos. We've maintained the original historic features and updated it with all modern amenities. The house has separate parking, private entrance, and frosted glass on the doors, so you get to enjoy tranquility and privacy all with the convenience of being just a few blocks from downtown San Marcos. If it’s nice weather, travel just a couple more minutes and you’re on the San Marcos river if you’d like tubing or swimming (we have tubes you can use). There’s a full kitchen you can also use. We have a little black cat named Jinx who just loves people. We can keep out of your way if you need us to, he is not allowed in the space. Guest access This apartment has a spacious bedroom, a convenient tile bathroom, and laundry and kitchen access. Make yourself at home and enjoy a little slice of history. Separate pushbutton exterior door access. During your stay Andrew and Marianne are available almost all day every day. Andrew is a professor at Texas State, merely 3 minutes away and Marianne is a women's history author of 13 books. We live in the front section of the farmhouse adjoining this apartment and have hosted through AirBNB for years. We're excited to welcome you.
