Youbou Sauna Retreat

This 1,200-square-foot two-bedroom lower suite walks out onto a lovely private patio, yard and wood-fired sauna. We're close to beautiful walks and hikes and great swimming at Arbutus Park, just a three-minute drive down the road. We live upstairs with our one-year-old, and our home is especially well-suited to families. We do our best to keep things quiet, but there is some noise transfer. If you hate the sound of children or want to party, this is probably not the best spot for you. The space The suite features two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a spacious living room and dining area, well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub and a wood stove. Outside you have exclusive access to the wood-fired cedar sauna and cold plunge, a private covered patio with barbecue and a grassy yard. The suite occupies the lower level of our family home so we’re normally around to help out and offer recommendations in the local area if you like! The suite features its own private driveway and entrance. Other things to note The Youbou Sauna Retreat is custom-built, featuring local fir. The outdoor space is covered, so you can enjoy the fresh air in any weather. Our barrel sauna is made of locally harvested cedar, and is heated in the traditional way — wood fire! We provide the wood, and you have exclusive access to the sauna during your stay. There are many swimming spots within a five-minute drive to keep you refreshed on hot days. For the musical types, we have a piano, guitar and mandolin on hand for you to noodle away on. Registration details Municipal registration number: H170241127 Provincial registration number: H170241127
