Charming Spanish bungalow close to everything!

This beautifully remodeled historic 2-bedroom Spanish bungalow is located in the heart of San Diego in the historical neighborhood of Golden Hill. You can walk to award-winning coffeeshops, restaurants, stores, and parks, or hop on an eScooter and be downtown in just a few minutes. Our home comfortably sleeps 4 adults plus 2 kids and includes outdoor seating in both the front yard and in the spacious back courtyard. There's also a gas BBQ and ping-pong table in the courtyard for you to enjoy. The space In addition to the main house, (where you will be staying), there are also two other rental spaces on the property. We converted the back bedroom of our home into a studio apartment which we rent to friends. Their unit is cordoned off from the rest of the home and they have their own private entry from the back yard. We also have a detached studio in the back of the property that we AirBnB. So you may see other guests coming and going on the property, but the main house is all yours and the outdoor spaces are dedicated for those staying in the main house. Both bedrooms have super comfortable king-size beds. The guest room also has an unusually comfortable queen-size fold-out bed that is perfect for kids (or other adults who don't mind sharing a room!). We completely remodeled our home in 2022 so the kitchen and bathrooms are new and the home is freshly painted. The house has an old-world feel but with all modern conveniences... the best of both worlds! The spacious courtyard in the backyard has a large table for entertaining and a comfy couch and reclining chairs for lounging. There's also a new gas griddle-style bbq for cooking and a ping-pong table for your enjoyment. We don't have A/C but we have ceiling fans in every room and the house stays comfortable. Just wanted to give you a heads-up for those who like it chilly inside during the summer months! Guest access Enter through the property's unlocked front gate and follow the stepping stones around to the LEFT side of the property to the kitchen door (about halfway down the side of the house). You're certainly welcome to enter and exit through the front door of the property while you're on the property but the keypad to get into the home is only located on the kitchen door. Other things to note Pillows, blankets, linens, towels and kitchen items are all provided! There is not a more convenient neighborhood in San Diego than Golden Hill to be your home base while you explore and experience all that San Diego has to offer. We’re just a 10-minute drive from the airport and world famous Coronado Beach and a 2-minute walk from a variety of unique restaurants and coffee shops. Our favorites are Luigi’s, Counterpoint, Kingfisher, Dark Horse Coffee, and 2 of the BEST hole-in-the-wall eateries in the entire city: Birrieria El Rey and 55 Thai! We also have a fantastic neighborhood market—Krisp—just down the street and sunny parks just a couple blocks away. Unwind after a day hitting the San Diego sites with a one-of-a-kind hair styling experience at Maven Salon or John Perry Salon or enjoy a relaxing yoga session at Sojourn Healing Collective. Downtown San Diego, the famous Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park, Balboa Golf Course, the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld San Diego are a short Uber or Lyft ride away. Or be a little more adventurous and hop on an eScooter or eBike, (Bird scooters are the most popular in our area), to explore our beautiful city. If you have a car, we have convenient freeway access to the 5, 15, or the 94. The San Diego trolley is only a 10-minute walk away and a major bus stop is right on our block. Our home is in a downtown neighborhood so you'll hear the light background sounds of buses and airplanes moving fellow vacationers around and about. Street parking can be a little tricky if you come back late at night, so we recommend taking Lyft or Uber or eScooters for those evening outings. You'll find that almost anywhere you'd want to go in San Diego is just minutes away from our centrally-located home. If you do drive, you might have more luck finding parking around the corner on either 26th St, B St, or Broadway. There is street sweeping on Tuesdays (across the street) and on Thursdays (on the side closest to house). Cars must be cleared from 10am until 1pm on these days or be ticketed.
