Our caretaker will greet you on the beach and guide you along a private path to your home. The pristine beaches are shared only among the seven properties within the enclave — ensuring you’ll always find your own secluded stretch of sand to enjoy in peace. We will help you coordinate all your transfers to and from the island as well as your supplies Other things to note 🌿 Authentic Island Living Our family home has a unique history on the island — a cherished retreat that embodies the true spirit of tropical seclusion. The nearest airport is Cairns, Queensland. Travel to Mission Beach by car, hire car or bus. Car storage available at Mission Beach. From Mission Beach, a charter vessel will take you across to Bedarra Island. Guests can also reach Bedarra Island via private helicopter transfer directly from Cairns. Full transfer options and details will be provided upon booking or request. We can make all transfer booking or provide all details for you to book yourself - it is a very easy journey. There are no shops and no cars here — just nature, peace, and privacy. Bedarra is a truly remote island escape. All food, drinks, and personal supplies will need to be brought with you, but don’t worry — we’ll provide full details to make this simple. Our wonderful friends from the Water Taxi will assist you with the transfer and any logistics. We provide pantry essentials, fresh linen, and towels, so you’ll have everything you need to settle in and relax. The home is fully off-grid and self-sufficient, powered 100% by solar. Please note that high-energy appliances such as hair dryers aren’t suitable for solar use. We also have our own water supply, so we ask that guests use water mindfully during their stay.
