The Wagon at Burrow Hill

Set in your own private orchard and surrounded by peaceful Devon countryside is this traditional shepherds Wagon. Off grid using solar for energy, a composting toilet and reed bed for waste water, it has been hand built by the owners from the chassis to the canvas top, using many reclaimed and traditional materials. The wagon is fully insulated and boasts contemporary comforts such as push-button heating and USB ports for charging phones. The space The Wagon interior has a double bed, a small kitchen area with under counter fridge and sink for preparing food and drinks, and a comfy sofa area with table and Smart TV (for use with a WiFi Hotspot via your mobile phone). There is an inside WC which is for "number ones only!" and a separate outside compost loo. The covered area outside the Wagon has a cosy seating area with wood fired stove and kitchen with gas hob. There is also a shower room with gas powered shower. Outside there is a fie pit with barbecue and dining table and chairs. Guest access The orchard field is yours to use privately with parking space for two cars. Please be mindful we have neighbours and it is a peaceful part of rural Devon, so we ask that guests don't play amplified music and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Other things to note Please note this is an off grid property so things such as hairdryers/straighteners cannot be used due to the power limitation, however charging phones and laptops etc is fine.
