Keep cool in the summer and inspired in the winter with our Ski Themed room! The Inn is located on a piece of land that's called the "Sugarbush" because the Native Americans used the land to tap the trees for Maple syrup. Today the majority of the Sugarbush is used by Mt.Ashwabay who maintain beautiful cross country and mountain biking trails. You can even access these trails right from our property! Our Inn is a great gateway to enjoying all Bayfield has to offer. If visiting in the winter, enjoy lots of peace and quiet by the indoor wood burning fireplace, snowshoeing on our 40 acres (we provide snowshoes), cross country or downhill skiing just a half mile down the road at Mt. Ashwabay, or dogsledding with Wolfsong Adventures. If visiting in the summer wake up to a view of a sunrise over Lake Superior. Grab a cup of coffee and take a nice morning walk on the trails connected to our property. Then enjoy a yummy pastry before setting off to Bayfield or Madeline Island for a fun filled day of kayaking, sailing, hiking, swimming, shopping, berry picking, wine tasting at the Bayfield winery, and lunch and dinner at one of the great local restaurants. Anytime you need a break come back to the Inn and relax on our outdoor patio overlooking the valley and lake. The patio was made for sipping wine, reading books, listening to the birds, feeling the breeze, and unwinding. After some unwinding on the patio take a nap in the comfy bed and wake up even more refreshed and ready for an amazing concert at Big Top Chautauqua which is just a half mile down the road from us! After the concert walk or drive back to the Inn, take in the beautiful country stars, sit by a fire at the fire pit, and then hit the hay happy and rested! As a guest at the Timber Baron Inn you'll have access not only to your private room and bathroom but also the Great Room, outdoor patio, fire pit (with complementary smore's supplies), and walking trails on the property. In the Great Room feel free to help yourself to coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. We also have a variety of board games and cards in the Great Room for guests to use. My husband David and I have a private living quarters upstairs. We mostly leave guests to themselves but if you should need us for anything we are usually around to help. Just message us on airbnb, text, or call us to let us know if you need anything. Such as extra towels, more toiletries, tissues, toilet paper, restaurant recommendations, a fire built for a campfire, or anything else you can think of. We are happy to help and want you to enjoy the best stay possible! The Bed and Breakfast is located just 3 miles south of Bayfield. We live towards the top of Ski Hill Road by Big Top Chautauqua, Mt. Ashwabay, and the CAMBA (Chequamegon Area Mountain Biking Association) mountain biking trails. It's a peaceful forest get-away with an amazing view of Lake Superior and Pikes Valley that's just the right amount of secluded. Far enough away to be quiet but close enough to get to Bayfield within 5 minutes. Coffee and pastries are available in the Great Room in the mornings from 7:45-9:00
