The space Welcome to my personal home, which I’m happy to offer for rent. You’ll find a simple, personal space with various activities to enjoy on site. The house is located just 500 meters from the Estacade, a popular spot for families and couples to walk and relax. I’m someone who’s attentive and available — I’ll do my best to make sure you feel comfortable by offering personalized advice and staying reachable if you need anything. Important Information Before Booking A home under ongoing improvement It’s important to note that the house is neither new nor recently renovated. When I purchased it, it was in poor condition, and the rental income goes directly toward improving it over time. Here are a few things still in progress: The wooden beams need sanding and sealing. A new floating floor is planned for both levels. The kitchen furniture is due to be replaced. I share all of this with full transparency. That’s also why I offer one of the lowest prices for a home of this size and location in the Estacade area. If you’re looking for a perfectly clean, modern, and spotless home, this rental may not be the right fit — despite my consistent efforts to clean it thoroughly. The feel of an older home is still noticeable. Why Choose This House Anyway? I’m flexible and accommodating. I’m always available to help during your stay. The value for money, size, and location is excellent for the Estacade. I allow single-night stays, even just for one day. The house feels more like a cozy family home than a typical rental, with toys and a lived-in atmosphere. If that’s what you’re looking for, great — if not, this may not be the right match. Details to Know Great for families: One of the bedrooms is designed for children (an adult can sleep there, but it’s not ideal). One single bed is placed directly on the floor, as there is only one bed frame available. Semi-detached house: The neighboring house is sometimes occupied. If you're looking for total peace and quiet, this may not be ideal — especially in summer, when the area is lively (cars, pedestrians, and general tourist activity). Dog hair: I live with a Husky, a breed known for heavy shedding. While I clean the house thoroughly before each stay, some hairs may remain. If you’re allergic or highly sensitive to dog hair, this home may not be suitable. Summer safety: During peak season, the area becomes busier. I recommend locking the door at night and not leaving items outside. There was a past incident with intoxicated youths attempting to enter a nearby rental — nothing serious happened, but it's good to be cautious. 150L hot water tank: This is generally sufficient for regular use but worth noting for large groups. Possible ants: Ants can be a common issue in Capbreton. Since I avoid using toxic products, they may appear from time to time, usually in the bathroom or on the terrace. EDIT: due to some Airbnb complaints I have choose to let a ant bomb to spray on their path which repulsive them and kill them (which I do not like). I believe in clarity and honesty — I want guests to know exactly what they’re booking. If you’re looking for a simple, well-located home at a fair price, with a warm atmosphere and friendly exchanges, this could be the perfect place for you. Otherwise, I encourage you to explore more modern options. Guest access All Other things to note The surf spot at 500m is very good for beginners; you have one side that can have great and powerful waves and another that has perfect waves when you don't know how to surf. I know someone who has a surf school, and I recommend him because he's a good teacher and surfer. You're able to rent bikes in his shop too, but they are for surfers and can be expensive (big tires and electrical traction).
