Located in Châtillon-sur-Seine in Burgundy, Le Clos du Château offers two lodges with private Nordic baths (Terra & Cédra) in the heart of a 2,800 m2 garden The space Our comfortable lodges are classified as "Meublé de tourisme 3*" (ATOUT FRANCE) in the historic gardens in the heart of the city now "Cité Impériale", one of the "Most beautiful detours in France". Capital of Crémant de Bourgogne, nestled in the heart of the latest National Park (Parc National des Forêts) 2.5 hours from Paris, our lodges will give you a complete experience through a bucolic, cultural and tourist stopover. The very spacious 2,800 m2 garden will delight the eyes and even the taste buds thanks to its fruit trees. The place is discreet and safe for children since the grounds around the lodges are bordered by 3-meter-high walls for more privacy. You can access the city center on foot or by bike (restaurants, cinema, theater, swimming pool, museum, local cheese factory, butcher…) and you can park your vehicles at the entrance, along the wall next to the front door for free. Offering garden views, our lodges feature a terrace, seating area with air conditioning and Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchenette with dishwasher and a bathroom with shower and hairdryer in addition to the private Nordic bath. The neighborhood is part of the historic city with St. John's Church and the Petit Haut Bastion, both classified as historic monuments. The lodges face Marmont Castle since they are located in the former gardens of the castle created by Marshal Marmont himself at the beginning of the 19th century under the 1st Empire. He also trained the vines on the surrounding walls of the enclosure 200 years ago. Also, Marmont was promoted to the youngest Marshal of the Empire under Napoleon I. The site is therefore full of fascinating stories related to Marmont and Napoleon who stayed in Châtillon-sur-Seine on several occasions.
