Vibrant home with artistic charm
Description
Welcome to our colourful one-bedroom flat in the heart of Montpelier. As a ceramicist, painter, and keen gardener, I've adorned the flat with artwork, vibrant murals, and a jungle of plants, adding lots of personality to our unique home. Nestled within a private courtyard alongside 10 other flats, our place is secure and set back from the road. The flat gets a lot of natural light through skylights, and outside there’s a private decking - the perfect spot for your morning coffee. The space The open plan kitchen-lounge has a huge (and very comfortable) sofa, table and chairs, sound system with bluetooth hookup, a new oven and electric hob, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and all the essential cupboard stocks for cooking. We have full-fibre broadband, with a desk in the bedroom as a dedicated workspace. You’re welcome to do your laundry in our washer-dryer, with a drying rack stored in the lounge. The bedroom has a double bed with plenty of bedding, and a wardrobe with hangers. There is also an ironing board and iron if needed. The bathroom has a bath, shower and toilet, and we will provide shampoo/conditioner/soap/towels etc. for you to use. Access There is permit and paid parking on Brook Road and the surrounding area. We can issue you a parking permit for the duration of your stay for one vehicle - please let us know if this is required. There are also bike locks within the courtyard that you may use if you need. The Old Bakery Court is accessed from Brook Road, via a secure gate with shared keypad access, which we will give you the code for. We will send you instructions along with helpful photos so that you don’t have any difficulty finding and accessing our home. Please note that we are a 1st floor flat, reached via a set of stairs from the courtyard (unfortunately there is no alternative access). The Location We love Montpelier! You’re absolutely spoilt for choice with great cafes, eclectic shops, parks and local walks, and cosy pubs all a short amble away. We’re a 5 minute walk from Stokes Croft, full of lively bars, live music, and some wonderful restaurants. For a taste of local brews, head to St Werburgh's where you'll find some of our favourite pubs like The Miners Arms and The Duke of York. Montpelier train station is a 10 minute walk away, connecting you to local Bristol stations, and there are local buses in the area. Having lived in Bristol for 10 years we have plenty of recommendations for whatever you want to discover in our city, so don’t hesitate to ask! Guest access The flat will be available for you exclusively during your stay, with the second bedroom locked. The decking is private, but the ground floor courtyard is shared between all residents, so please respect this space and always ensure the courtyard gate is securely shut. Other things to note Please note, this is our home, so it's a very lived in space with lots of our personal treasures in it - it’s certainly not a party flat. We’ve made plenty of space for you and your belongings in the bedroom and kitchen, and we keep it very clean and tidy. Please respect our beautiful home, and the community of residents within the courtyard, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
